Subject: Show & Tell #2--TV SHOWS
Written By: agrimorfee on 06/22/05 at 7:52 am
Insert your links and comments about a favorite or recently discovered parody about a TV SHOW here.
This is not a contest, but a chance for fellow amirighters to showcase other amirighters. Every week, a new topic will be chosen for all to read the following Friday. There are no rules, except you must post about someone else's parody or parodies, not your own. More than one song may be discussed.
Happy hunting!

This song is about my dearly departed Futurama, and it's great. I can just hear Elvis singing about an alcoholic, kleptomaniac robot.

This one is legendary, as it spawned an entire album. The original is still the best, though.

That is a good one, Kristof. Alvin is amazing at rhyming OS's and, the stuff he comes up with is almost always a riot. This is one of Spaff's that I found. It was only submitted in February but, that was before I found this place. The recording of the parody is really good too.

Thanx for the plug, Rick!
Stu pimped Claude before I could beat him to it, but here's another one anyway: "Let Aunt Bee" to "Let It Be":

Somebody called "Claude Prez Fan" recorded it, even. (It wasn't me, and Claude claims it wasn't him either.)

I also went with an old Spaff song because he really doesn't get the exposure he deserves:
Thank You Gilligan

Good stuff, everyone! (latecomers, you are still welcome to donate to the exhibit!) 8)
I have decided to make a challenge for next week's Show & Tell--find a parody that is NOT FUNNY, BUT HEARTFELT...find the best poetic tributes, protest songs, or philosophical parodies where the author put the funny where their heart is. I will post a thread by Wednesday for all to donate by Friday, Juy 1. See you next week, and happy huntiing!!
