6,000 miles is a bit too long of a commute for me, but I am sure that those who hear your lectures and your parodies are in for a treat! I also find it interesting that you are sharing the podium with R. Foster Winans, who might be the subject of a good conflict-of-interest parody.

Thanks John.. I am looking forward to meeting him..
I did write parody about a very similar case two journalists in London who are due to be tried for market manipulation for allegedly scalping ahead of their investment column called the "City Slickers"

may not be able to do it .... it's a bit sensitive right now with the court case looming!!

A friend of mine is coincidentally running a breakfast briefing on the same day and his first speaker is Nick Leeson of Barings Bank et al
He is going to see if Nick is free at all after the briefing and if he is he is going to invite him along .... I guess it is unlikely that he will have any time but you never know!"! It would be interesting to introduce Nick to Foster..
and I do have a song about rogue traders that I will definitely do if he does come to the gig....http://www.amiright.com/parody/2000s/carlossantana0.shtml
btw.. the same venue as last year....

also the "Slickers" trial is due to commence on October 17th at Southwark Crown Court or the Old Bailey (need to check nearer the time ).. I attended some pre trial hearings and have blagged some research time to attend at least some of the trial .. may do a book about the whole subject ...could be very interesting!
