Written By: Jared on 09/22/04 at 12:35 pm
Hey, guys, I'm not really sure if I've earned being welcome in the monkey room yet, but I had a great idea for the sequestered simians......
"We're A Room Full of Monkeys!" to "Hey, Hey, We're The Monkees!" by the Monkees...
So, you guys up for it? i'll start us off........
"Here we are......
Authors on the site.......
Bunch of parody all-stars......
Here at AmIRight......."

Oh Jared, Jared, Jared, of COURSE you are welcome in The Monkey Room, my friend! Everybody is!
I recommend that the title be "A Room Full Of Monkeys",
since that has exactly the same number of syllables as "Hey Hey We're The Monkeys".
Here's one possible chorus (each additional chorus should be different, if possible):
"A Room Full Of Monkeys!
Where people play and monkey around!
Where weird tunes' dizzy singin',
Kaputs anybody's frown!"

Well, Philbo, the Monkees theme doesn't really repeat its opening stanza, and the later verses don't really follow exactly the same tune.so we'd have to pick my opener or yours......

I don't know the song, but it should be noted that the infinite monkeys theorem better be mentioned, or I'll be sad.

Next chorus:
"Come join with the Monkeys!
There's always room to monkey around
You know that you're always welcome
So come on in and get down"

We're just writin' our pa-ro-dies
On our tire-swing we play
('Cause) We're "Orang-Utan Nation"
And we've got fun things to say

It has ben awhile since I've heard the song.
Here it goes.............
It's a roomful of monkeys,
Spoofing songs about Janet's breasts.
We make fun of anything we hear,
Put your talents here to test

Well, Arwen, I'd have to say it's Philbo, seeing as he's the sole Brit out of thios particular arrangement of Monkeys/Monkees
