Subject: Song parodies - OTHER types?

Written By: Old_Comedywriter on 02/22/04 at 05:25 p.m.

Has anyone done any other form of song parody?  For example, I wrote a script (not yet filmed) of a sort of a parody of Steve Miller's "Take The Money And Run."  It uses the original lyrics in a parody of an "Unsolved Mysteries" segment.  It's at http://home.onemain.com/~nospamtoday/unsolved.htm .
I know some people have recorded parodies, but has anyone else done other variations of the parody thing?

Mari put in that gazinkus, but this is Rick D. I parodied the entire movie "The Wizard of Oz" and was wondering what to do with it. I also did a parody of "The H.M.S. Pinafore" The songe from those two things are on the site, but out of context, some of them don't make much sense. One more thing I did is a half hour episode of "Rocky and Bullwinkle" complete with commercials and a Dudley Do-right and Fractured Fairy Tale. That was some bizarre stuff from my beer days.
