I apologize if this has been posted before. Are there songs that your local station plays entirely TOO much?

Just a few that the local ones beat to death:

Jack and Diane/John Cougar
You shook me all night long/AC*DC
D'yer M'yer(or however its spelled)/Led Zeppelin
Faithfully/Journey
Old Time Rock n Roll/Bob Seger
In the Air Tonght/Phil Collins
Here I go Again/Whitesnake
Wonderful Tonight/Eric Clapton

There's others I can't think of now, but I will when I hear them played

There are several, depending upon which stations I listen to...

"Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day
"Picture" by Kid Rock ft. Sheryl Crow (YUCK!) :P
"How To Save A Life" by The Fray (which I don't mind for now, plus it's still a hit on the charts, which is fine)
"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt (beaten to death last year all over the U.S.)

I'll probably think of more later.

Some things just never change, huh?

Apparently not. ;) If I had my own radio station, my playlist would be so extensive that you could never hear the same song twice in one day, let alone three or four days. I like to have variety.

This is How You Remind Me-Nickleback(back in 2001) I will never like that song anymore because pop radio played it too death and I did like it until pop radio got ahold of it.

Oh yes, I remember how overplayed it was in late 2001/early 2002; it was a very big hit. I never really cared to listen to it back then because stations would play it like 20 times a day. :o :P These days I don't mind listening to it...but only when I'm in the mood to hear it. Everytime I hear it, I am reminded of my busy life from late '01/early '02. This is "how you remind me", guys from Nickelback! :D

The most overplayed songs I can name from recent times are "Everyone's Going to War" by Nerina Pallot and that horrible "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. Both of those songs were played five times a day at least, sometimes more.

Anything from Nickelback, sometimes they're on 3 stations at once here and all their songs sound the same.

Anything Akon gets his hands on, he ruins with his godawful voice.. and then beats into the ground overplaying it.

Every song Nickelback releases gets murdered by radio.

Yeah Akon I don;'t like his voice very much but I guess alot of people like his music since his current album already went 2 times platinum(RIAA certfied for 2 million of Akon's recent CD shipped to stores.)

The only Akon song I like is "Locked Up"  which was a hit back in 2004 because his voice wasn;t annoying on that song. "Locked Up" along with Akon on the track also featured rapper "Styles P" from the late 90's rap group "The Lox."

I don't have a problem with Fregie other than the way her songs sound in the way they its like they are a combo of 80's Dance Pop like Madonna and late 80's pop-rap songs at the same time and in my opinion merging those 2 80's genre's doesn;t sound good.

Nickleback-I just don;t take a liking to them other than on their songs like "Figured You Out" and " Leader Of Men". I mean like I said before "This Is How You Remind Me" was just overplayed and their other songs just lack some kind of susbstance to them where I  just can;t listen to their songs.

Seems like an odd title for a song that repeats the line mentioned in ^^^, especially if that phrase isn't mentioned anywhere in the song itself. (Which it probably isn't, given that I've only listened the entire song maybe three times.)

Overplayed? I'm not sure if she's been focused on or not, but KELLY CLARKSON! Because of You, Since You Been Gone has made me want to just Walk Away from my radio and Break Away from my eardrums!
