Drat! I just realized I should've posted this two days ago, since that was her birthday. And Deborah's not much of an "electric youth" anymore -- she just turned 36(!!).
This is one of those videos that looks pretty darned cheesy by today's standards. In some respects, it was a bit cheesy for 1989, but, oh well. I'm a little disappointed that the version of this video posted on YouTube is missing the introductory piece done by Deborah. Oh well. Here's "Electric Youth" in all its cheesy glory... :)
Actually, it's very typical for 1989 and I've seen far worse. Especially most music videos now from 50 Cent, Ashlee Simpson, Britney Spears, and Panic! at the Disco. (No offense to fans of the mention bands)
As for the song...Not her best nor worst.

A show we have in Canada called "Back in 1989" voted Electric Youth the worst video of 1989. It was a cheesy video, but It's nowhere near the worst. The song is great
