I never used to really like the Hip, but lately, I've been trying to get into their songs. I really like "Twist My Arm" 8)
Early this year, several NHL stars came here to Kingston for a charity outdoor hockey game, and following the game, The Hip performed with fellow hometowners Dan Aykroyd and "Rock Star: INXS" contestant Deanna Johnson. I tried to go and see it, but the crowds were just too thick :\'(
I need to pick up a copy of their Greatest Hits CD. They have so many great songs. It's a shame they aren't a mainstream success for the world outside of Canada. They don't know what they are missing

I love the song "Gift Shop" and its video. I saw it on MuchMoreRetro a couple weeks ago, for the first time in a while.

New Orleans is Sinking was a major hit in pre-Katrina USA. We in Oklahoma City used to have a cover band play this song in bars at night. Many patrons thought the song was an original.
