Hi everyone!! :)
My name is Jessica and I'm an 80s addict. ;D I wanna start off by saying this is, without a doubt, the most comprehensive 80s website I've ever visited. It's a fantastic site! Hats off to the creator! I've been enjoying all the posts and responded to a few. I wanted to respond to practically all of them but didn't wanna flood the board. ;D
I was born on December 12, 1982. I read a few messages from people my age who wish they were born earlier..I wish the same!! What I remember most are the cartoons and toys which were fun but I missed out on the best thing from the 80s..the music! It would be so cool to be able to witness the advent of MTV (it seemed so cool back then, now it's garbage) and attend the concerts. I realized a few years ago when I was going through my parents old tapes how much better music was back in the day. There was a time when pop music was good and the artists wrote their own lyrics! Today's music scene is all style, no substance. I like lots of music from previous decades but none of it compares to the 80s! Some of my faves are Madonna, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, George Michael/Wham!, Prince, Bruce Springstein, Phil Collins, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Guns N Roses, Duran Duran, Culture Club, Tears For Fears, Go-Go's, Bangles, Cyndi Lauper, Pat Benatar, Blondie, Paula Abdul, and many others!

Welcome and I too like all things 80's! During the 80's I was into Heavy Metal, the harder the better. Crue, WASP, KISS, Van Halen, METALLICA! I was totally into the whole "hair" band shtuff and bashed the "New Wave" music contstantly. Now I can't get enough of the 80's wave, Howard Jones, Culture Club, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, Oingo Boingo, Etc, etc. I even know all the words! AHHHHH! I can't stand most of the Heavy stuff (Def Leppard must DIE!) I listen to 70's rock - Creedence, ZZ Top, Bad Company, Zeppelin, The Who, Jethro Tull, Floyd, etc.
But I get all giddy when "I want Candy" comes on. You can't help but smile, that's what music's all about.
Welcome!
Check out RUGDRIVER, my version of Lowrider.
More to come!
