This is a rare instance when I need help finding a song.
I heard a song as hold music when I had to call a company, and it is a song I know, one I should know by artist and title, but I am drawing a blank.
It sounds like maybe a 70s song, maybe 80s. The lyrics went "Cause i'm watching you watching"

I did yes, and I also ruled out Elvis Costello's Watching the Detectives

I found the song I was looking for. It seems to be a recent song.
I thought for sure it was one I'd heard many years ago. I must be getting confused in my old age :D
