Thanks for trying to help, but unfortunately those aren't the songs. This is most likely one of the only few lame songs of the 80's.  ;) The song was much slower and I want to say the chorus was where the hello's came in.

If that's it, I'm not surprised the only lyrics the original poster was able to remember were "hallo" or "hello", because the rest of the lyrics were in Swedish!  There was an English version of the song, and as of this writing, it can still be found in a 1986 soundcheck from CFNY's website.

And until it is, you really should look at the last post of that thread on nwoutpost.com, do what it says, to find and download that archived MP3 consisting of a 45-minute sound check recorded 25 years ago, just to see if it's the song you're talking about about 17 minutes in.  Whether you use a utility like Mp3DirectCut to save some diskspace is up to you :)
