All I can remember is that I think that the song had the word "release" in it , its from the 90's, and I remember a little bit of the music and thats all. Please help, this song has been stuck in my head for awhile now.

It's neither of those, It's a Rock/Alternative song from the 90's.

There was a song by Wilson Phillips called "Release Me" and it came out in the 90's...good luck
