Play the song over and over until you get the lyrics down... well at least that's what I used to do until I discovered Google search  ;)

Actually, that's good advice to anyone -- if you've got the track, try it yourself a few times, and then google it.  If the google reports are wrong (and the various lyric sites are often wrong!), post your corrections here. The major lyrics sites tend to be almost fully-automated, and are often dead wrong.  Sometimes you'll hear something that the person whose lyrics were originally picked up by the lyric site didn't guess.  The lyrics sites tend not to care about fixing broken lyrics, but we do.  Over the long term, someone'll cut and paste the correct lyrics into the lyrics sites, and the 'right' answer can propagate.

By way of reference, this site's got the best guesses to the lyrics of two nearly-impossible tracks (Frankie Smith's Double Dutch Bus and Intaferon's (aka Interferon's) Get Out of London) that I've ever seen anywhere.
