Subject: This Old Car

Hi everyone I am new here but bring along a pretty good knowledge of music. I was born in the late 40's. i have a disability due to a ear disease called meniere's disease. I play the guitar, keyboard and sing. Also I like to write music and poetry I am looking for a song that I have searched and searched over the internet and still no luck. I'm not even sure whether it was ever recorded.
I need the lyrics because the tune is to This Old House by Stuart Hamblin. The lyrics were changed to say This Old Car. The lyrics went something like this. This old car once carried a family this old car once carried a wife. That's all I know except the final line was I'm gettin ready to meet the saints just like the original lyrics to this old house.
The lyrics to this old car are sad because it talks about an accident that may have killed the whole family. If anyone is familiar with these lyrics are knows where I might be able to find them I would really appreciate it if you could get them for me. I hope I can help with other songs if people here are looking for any. Thanks

Sometimes if it's a familiar song rewritten, it could have been a commercial jingle....for a car or insurance company?

Would that be the same song This Old House as recorded by Rosemary Clooney and Shakin' Stevens?

Since it had such sad words I don't think it was used as a jingle but thanks for answering
Also I don't think it was Rosemary Cloonys version because I believe she sang the lyrics to this old house but thanks

VACATIONISTS - BE CAREFUL!
This ole car once knew some children
This ole car once knew a wife
This ole car once knew a husband
And a merry family life
But this family's trips are over
Picked a dangerous spot to pass
Then they saw death's angel peekin'
Through the broken window glass
Ain't gonna need this car no longer
Ain't gonna need this car no more
Had no time to fix the brakes up
Had no time to fix the door
Had no time to fix the steerin'
Or to drive with more restraint
Ain't gonna need this car no longer
They've been taken to meet the Saint
Accident Prevention Department
Employers Mutuals of Wausau
These words are from a May 1955 newspaper ad. The ad was placed by the 'Accident Prevention Department' 'Employers Mutuals of Wausau' The ad title is 'VACATIONISTS - BE CAREFUL!' There's a picture of a wrecked car at the top of the ad.

As suggested by saver, this appears to be a Wausau insurance company jingle from 1955.
