In the movie Ace Ventura Pet Detective -Ace walks into a bar in Collier county in the background there is a sad country song playing.  Thou I do not know who sings it are many of the lyrics I have tried to google it and I could not get much help. I do know a man is singing the song and it is a country song, and the only lyrics I know are.........I just got up from no sleep at all I stared at the ceiling and talked to the wall......I don't remember much more of the lyrics but he also said............the man who insisted he wanted to be free just found out how lonely it would be........and a few of them lyrics maybe wrong but thats all I can remember... If any one could please help me I would be very thankful to you so please help me if you can.....thank you

Could it be "Line Up" by Aerosmith?

After running every Google lead into the ground, I don't know. I'd probably recognize the song in two seconds if I saw the movie again.  :-\\

"Line Up" is in the movie, but the lyrics really don't match and Aerosmith is about as country as Eminem is.

Thank you everyone for trying to help but it is not line up and it is not on the soundtrack and I went and bought a copy of the movie and it was not on there are even in the credits it was a deleted scene. But I heared it in the movie that came on t.v it was on the superstation 'tbs' but I do thank everyone for trying to help me and I hope someone can help me find this song...

I just watched the movie last week and I am also obsessed with finding this song. I think anyone into country music would recognize the singer, but I'm not that familiar. He sounds a little like Alan Jackson, but... I even wrote to TBS (Turner Broadcast network) and they haven't responded. If I find out anything I'll let you know. I thought the chorus..." it's all coming back to me now"... should have something to do with the title, but no luck yet.

Not exactly the lyrics you mention in your first post but when I heard the song a few weeks ago it reminded me of this pst.  I just couldn't find the post then to reply to it.
