This song is credited to Page/Plant on the Re-Mastered double CD, but this is surely an old Blind Willie Johnson song, to which they have added a verse? I have a copy of this song from 1927. It has almost exactly the lyrics which have been credited to P and P on the Re-mastered album.

From what I gather, "When The Levee Breaks" was written in 1927 by Memphis Minnie. I also understand that getting the drum effect was extremely tough to do live, and this song was only performed a handful of times by LZ in concert. I may be wrong on both counts, but my 2 cents....
