Subject: Help with 70s song
Written By: mike on 06/08/06 at 2:06 pm
Anyone hear recall a song from the 70s that had the word
FROG or some variance of it in the title (froggy or froggish maybe)?
I'm 90 percent sure FROG was in the title and I remember part of the chorus
I've been waiting for you all my froggy (or froggish?) life
and it wasn't anything I ever smoked
no it wasn't anything I ever smoked
It was a slow song with a kind of psychedelic feel to it.

That's definitely "The Frog Song"!
It's on the album, Merry Airbrakes, which I have on CD. It was
originally released in 1973, by Bill Homans (aka Watermelon Slim)
You can get it at Amazon and other places:

The Frog Song is also on "The Shadoks Music Compilation" CD (track 17)
You can hear a clip of it at Cd Universe:

Bill Homans was the only Vietnam vet to release an anti-war album while the war was still in progress.
