Boy, I had to go back and listen carefully. The third line is definitely "a gun in your hand". The second line I can't tell if it's "a doctor" or "adopted" although I always thought it was "adopted". And the first line I can't make out at all.

I'm pretty sure the second line is "a doctor", although it does sorta sound like "adopted."

Those are definitely the right words.
