Subject: Odd lyrics...no artist/song
Written By: jbboogie on 01/29/06 at 10:36 pm
Club song in the 90's that almost sounds like an Enya remix or something. (Hopefully I didn't already lose you with the whole Enya thing) Good heavy beat with a female vocalist singing over it. Pretty rich sounding voice. Sounds like she may be speaking French. The words that I can make out sound similar to: "Oooh abu gah, eye yeah" Don't quote me on that.
Any thoughts?

^ Hey! There totalyl was a "Oooh abu gah, eye yeah" in that!
If that aint the one, I suggest it may be out of Bjork's oeuvre.
Hunter has a nice steady beat, but her vocals are pretty coherent throughout.
Your 'Oooh abu gah, eye yeah' couldn't be 'Human Behaviour' could it?

Those were all good tries but no match. Thanks for helping out though. I wish I knew what the real lyrics were but I'm sure it was in a different language.

I think it is Enigma, but the song is "Sadeness Part 1," which came out a few years before "Return To Innocence." Here's a link to some clips of various mixes of it. Listen to the demo of the radio version first.

Good try but I'm positive it isn't Enigma because it is a woman's voice. I'm starting to think this is gonna be hopeless.

The singer almost sounds a little like Sade. Good club/lounge beat & bass

There is a woman who sings on Enigma's Sadeness

There was a french techno version on the Cranberries song "Zombie" released in the mid nineties.......it could possibly be that one, but i have no idea who sang it though.

Coult it be Vanessa Paradis ???
Or it could be this song by an artist from the 90's named Mylene Farmer called "Se 'T Aime Melonchole".
I remember the song because it charted in Australia and it was French.........I hope this helps :)

The song you described to me seems to be Enya's "Ebudae", although you say it was a "club" type tune-- which this song really isn't. Maybe it was a sample in a mix?
Could it also be a track from Deep Forest?
