Subject: looking for two songs (re-post)

Both songs were from mid to late 80's, maybe even 1990 or 1991.
1) sounded kind of pop-ish, like Trixter. It was about a guy packing up & leaving town
to become a star.
"she said she'd never leave home but I knew she would"
"she said, man I'm goin with him, I'm goin far"
"welcome to the real world, I think you're gonna hate it"(this seemed to be the chorus)
2) kind of a broken heart song, male vocals.
"One day I'll be gone oh, and you'll miss me you'll forget me don't you know"
"will you miss me when I'm gone" (seemed to be the chorus)
