Does anyone know the lyrics to this song? And who sings it? I think its a late 60's/early 70's song. I heard it on a Cingular cell phone commercial.

It's by the Allman Brothers and it's called Melissa

"Melissa" is one of my favorite songs from the '70s.
(it was also the first time I ever heard that name before)

its kinda funny, i saw that same commercial, and i was lookin for the same thing on google and your post came up. i thought for sure id found the lyrics and all it was was another person lost like me (i just found it kinda funny)
