I used to hear this song played on Hot 101 back in 1997-1998. It goes:
"Sweet dreams of Rivermen dancing
Sweet dreams of passion through the night
Sweet dreams of taking over
Sweet dreams of dancing, through the niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!"
Thats and awesome song. Who does this?

Hi Beth. I believe the song you're thinking of is "Sweet Dreams" by La Bouche (French for "the mouth"). It came out in 1996. I think the lyrics are: "Sweet dreams of rhythm and dancing..."

Is it just me or does that sound sound suspiciously like "Sweet Dreams are Made of This" by the Eurythmics? :D

No, FHF. That's a different song. Lots of times, one or more songs will have the same title but have different music altogether. Many cases of this are mentioned in the "Pair The Artists By Same Song Title" quizzes, which are located in the "Penguin Quizzes" board.

makes me think of Rythm is a dancer by snap wich was a hit back in 1993

I always knew that it was rhythm and dancing. Just for fun I googled "riverman dancing" and it came up with nothing.
