Subject: I swear does this Country Song even exist?
Written By: Harmonica on 07/12/04 at 10:17 am
I've been searching for this song for I don't know how long. I believe it's called Leap of Faith but all the songs I look up with the title Leap of Faith are not the song I'm looking for. It's not R Kelly, it's not Michelle Branch, it's not IQ, it's not Bruce Springstein, and it's not about 12 other people with the title of that song I looked up.
Here are some of the lyrics
"if you trusting me like I trusting you theirs no hill or mountain we can't go through, the first steps always the hardest one to take, it's a leap of faith"
"Even though the stakes are high, give it one more try"
THis is driving me crazy!

Verse 1:
F Bb
You want a no-risk guarantee
F C
Before you take a chance
F Bb
You want to know how the song will end
F C
Before you start to dance
Dm Bb
Well I can't foretell the future
F Bb
But my heart clearly sees
F Bb
Your hand in mine for a long, long time
F C
If you could just believe, and
Chorus:
F
Take a leap of faith
C
Cast away your doubt
Dm
Darlin' come what may
Bb
We can work it out
Dm Bb C
A love that's real will always find a way
F
If you'll trust in me
C
Like I trust in you
Dm
There's no rain or fire
Bb
That we can't go through
Dm Bb C
The first step's always the hardest one to take
N/C F
It's a leap of faith
Verse 2:
F Bb
I understand all your doubts and fears
F C
Of laying your heart on the line
F Bb
But aren't you afraid of just throwing away
F C
A love like yours and mine
Dm Bb
I know your heart's been broken
F Bb
You've been let down before
F
Though the stakes are high
Bb
Give it one more try
F C
This time you can be sure
Chorus:
F
Take a leap of faith
C
Cast away your doubt
Dm
Darlin' come what may
Bb
We can work it out
Dm Bb C
A love that's real will always find a way
F
If you'll trust in me
C
Like I trust in you
Dm
There's no rain or fire
Bb
That we can't go through
Dm Bb C
The first step's always the hardest one to take
N/C F
It's a leap of faith
F
If you'll trust in me
C
Like I trust in you

There's no rain or fire

That we can't go through
Dm Bb C
The first step's always the hardest one to take

The answer to your question is Lionel Cartwright. I have xm and listen to that song all the time, and he is the one who sings it.
