Subject: Band/Artist Name Ripoffs
Have you notice that some bands rip their names from other bands? In the 80s there was a group called The Honeydrippers. But there was also a band by the same name sometime before (in the 50s or 60s, I think). In the 80s there was also a group called Face To Face; in the 90s, another group came along and ripped off their name. There was a Christian band called The Front, and a secular band ripped off their name. There have been two vastly different groups called The Kingsmen. There is a Christian pianist named Dino Kartsonakis who used to go by his first name until a secular singer came along and ripped off the name. Why do they do it? How do they get away with it?
