Subject: what is this line, really?
Written By: Paula on 03/26/04 at 05:12 p.m.
??? Can anyone help me with this. I don't have much info, but I would LOVE to know what this line is really....It goes kind of like "She was blinded by the light, (and now it gets hard to understand) wrapped up like a deuce, another roller in the night" I don't know who the band is, or the name of the song, but I heard it on the radio, the oldies station, and it has always driven me crazy! Please help if you can.
Many thanks, P

the name of the song is "Blinded by the Light". The most famous version is by Manfred Mann's Earth Band from the mid 70s...it was written and originally performed by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on their album "Greetings from Asbury park NJ"
The song is about Rum Running (beleive it or not.....its clearer in Springsteens version, during Prohibition)..the line goes "He was blinded by the light, reved up like a duece another runner in the night"
