My luck with this messageboard from the members has been wonderful! You people are great! Help me again please?
I was on the road travelling and heard a song on an oldies station in the Berkshires of MA - all I could manage to get
was this constant lyric through the entire song -
" Oh Maria, Oh Maria" and little else to the song.
I do not believe it was BW Stevenson's "My Maria" but any help would be appreciated as to who the artist is.....
If anyone can help, you people can! :'(

I had thought of Santana's "Maria" but would that be old enough to have been heard on 102.9 Oldies Sation? I'm not
totally familiar with Santana's "Maria"; that will certainly be a start but I just wasn't sure if it was "old" enough to be on this station which features REALLY old songs. Also, it's just on guy (obviously) singing the song - does that sound like your reply song by Santana?

hmmm...probably not themn...hmmm...have you thought of "Maria" from West Side story?

Yeah, everyone thought it was the song from West Side Story. But although I couldn't get much from the song, it seemed to just pretty much be a repetitious of the words
"Oh Maria" and not too much else... That's what has be
baffled. Well, you all have helped me identify more songs in the last few weeks than I've been able to obtain in years!
So, I guess this one will bug me forever!
