Subject: New search function

if you see any problems with the new site wide search function on amiright, let me know as soon as possible so I can try and fix it..

It's right under the logo in case you missed it.  It will search for a performer name (like Cher) and give you possible matches. When you click on a match, it will display a summary of everything on the site for the performer. If there's a ton of stuff, there's links to more detailed pages.

I can not even begin to tell you how long it took me to implement it, so I hope it at least gets a little bit of use from new site visitors.

Its a really good function, Chuck.

I found an error though, it seems that when you type in "Billy Joel," and then click on the one titled, "Billy Joel," scroll down to the song parodies, and click on "More song parodies by this artist," for some reason, the search function imputs "Billyjoel" thus recieving no results.

good feedback.. I forgot the double quotes around the URL, which is needed due to the space in it (bad URL design really, but I don't care >grin<)

Good job Chucky - I like it  :)

Imagine my initial surprise though when I searched for Abba and also got Black Sabbath  :o

Then again I wasn't exactly awake at the time  ;D
