Well, I never know what decade it is, maybe a link to a search site that'd show it?

It's a pretty straightforward page, though

How about first-time parodists, when they're putting their name in, to be told whether that name is taken already? I didn't know where to find all the names until I had written several parodies.  Chucky had to change it for me.

I think Iīm with wdh on this. As a newbie I didnīt see any poing in the decades field/box. As an somewhat acostumed user, I still see no real relevance for that piece of fact, outside the message forums discussions. If Iīm out to check wheter a song has already been parodied the way Iīm thinking of doing it, or parodied at all, Iīm searching by artist primarily, and original title secondly. So unless thereīs a use I so far have totally missed, it can, IMHO, go. ::)

Other than that I think the submission page is all right.

Hmm... come to think of it: When/If I use the preview option a second (or third, or forth) time after having found something to correct, the checkbox that allows comments becomes automatically disabled. Thatīs not a biggie though. I mean, songs should be spellchecked in advance anyway, but I discovered this when I, in a last second second though, decided to rewrite an intro to one of my parodies.

END RANT TRANSMISSION.

the parody archives are arranged by decade, which is why the decade setting is quite necessary for people looking for songs

the bug with the comment box I thought was fixed, I'll have to look into it again

I understand. Though sometimes itīs really hard, if one doesnīt own the actual album, to find out if a song is from letīs say 1989 or 1991, and what decade it should be "marked" with. Maybe that submission box should come with an "I donīt know" option. :-)

Well, I guess if search engines canīt provide an answer one can always ask on the boards, and contribute to the socialising process here. Thatīs also an option. :-)

As for the comment box, it stays marked the first time I press preview, but if I make alterations and then press preview again from the first preview page, it doesnīt. I discovered this because I have gotten into the habit of not writing an/the intro to a song before I submit it. So itīs definitely not a biggie and easily taken care off on my side by just simply start to write those too in advance. I just thought you might like to know about it.

Maybe itīs a  Windows thingie. Iīm posting from computers at either work or school which both uses the old IE5. :-(
