Subject: Song ID, I'm stumped.. American Wedding/Pie
I know this song has been used in the commercials for American Pie, and is currently being used in a new commercial for American Wedding.
in the commercial running currently on Fox, it starts off with a Tom Jones song.. someone says something about the bachelor party, and they cut to this song for the rest of the commercial.. it's unfortunately so heavy with dialog from movie, I can't make out the lyrics to search by.
I went through the entire soundtrack listing on imdb:
http://us.imdb.com/Soundtracks?0163651
no luck.. there were three songs I could not find sound clips for, those were:
"Anomaly (Calling Your Name)" by Libra Presents Taylor
"Turn It Around" by Five Easy Pieces
"I Never Thought You Would Come" by Loni Rose
it's probably not Loni Rose, since it sounds like a guy singing.. I think the song is from the 1990s, but I'm not sure..

It is a 90s song and it is a guy singing, I know and remember the song, but none of the ones you mentioned ring a bell. ARGH!

I think the song you are looking for is called "Laid" by James.
"Laid"
by James
This bed is on fire with passionate love
The neighbors complain about the noises above
But she only comes when she's on top
The therapist said not to see you no more
She said you're like a disease without any cure
She said I'm so obsessed that I'm becoming a bore
Ah you think you're so pretty
Caught your hand inside the till
Slammed your fingers in the door
Fought with kitchen knives and skewers
Dressed me up in womens clothes
Messed around with gender roles
Line my eyes and call me pretty
Moved out of the house so you moved next door
I locked you out you cut a hole in the wall
I found you sleeping next to me I thought I was alone
You're driving me crazy when are you coming home

you are correct!
and only I could confuse Barry White with Tom Jones >grin< though in my defense the volume was way too low for me to really here the singer..
