Pleeeeeeeeease help me!
I have had this song stuck in my head for ages now and I can't rememeber who sang it, it is driving me crazy. As far as I can remember the chorus lyrics are "When I was Mary's friend" but other than that I can only remember the tune which I can't really convey over email...
Can anyone help me??? Pretty Please?? With a cherry on top?

Your "mystery song" is "Mary's Prayer" by Danny Wilson, a moderate hit here in the U.S. in the Summer of '87. (Incidentally, it was a band, not a solo individual by that name.) It was off their 1987 album, Meet Danny Wilson. Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, although it did come out on CD here in the U.S...
