i think i'm somewhere around 8 votes per parody maybe if you made a list of least votes per song i'd make it
Subject: Re: For Mike Armstrong...
approx. 15 here...and simply because my first parody has 70 votes...if I submitted more often it would probably be less.

At a current average of 5.8 votes per parody, I might make that list, too.
Anyone have any tips for increasing the number of votes per? (Other than not parodying songs nobody's heard of, as may have been the problem with a couple of mine.)

It may help if you do something like put a link to your parodies in your profile if you have an Instant Messenger service or something.

I've found the type of parody makes a difference, too: I've put some vote counting and summaries on the little app I wrote (that a few people downloaded - drop me a PM if you'd like a functionality update), and came up with the following from my voting stats:
Overall: 11.72 votes per parody
Alcohol/drugs:11.73 votes per parody - spot on average
Political8.38 vpp
'Just plain rude'18.80 vpp
Techie14.44 vpp
Ad hominem22.75 vpp
...the last one being inflated by the unlikely success of "I Hate Britney Spears", but even without those 75 votes, it's still way over average...
