Subject: Very early 80's song question!! HELP!!!
Written By: Amy on 03/17/03 at 04:03 p.m.
I am looking for the title of a song from 1980-81 to 1983-84! I don't know who sings it or what the name of the song is. I am going nuts trying to figure it out so....here I am.
It is a female singer (kinda sounds like Linda Ronstadt or has that kind of sound) It starts out with something like "seventh son of the seventh son". The chorus is something like "you could have been with me" or "you should have been with me...instead of something, something, something".
I know that this is not much help but that is all that I have got!!
HELP!!!! A~ :)

"You could have been with me" by Sheena Easton
You’re the seventh son of the seventh son
Maybe that’s why you’re such a strange and special one
You can’t even seem to love yourself
And with a few exceptions not anybody else
You can lead a horse to water
But you cannot make him drink
You can give a man your whole heart and soul
But you cannot make him think
You could have been with me
Instead of alone with nothin’
Hey…hey…hey…hey…
Hey…hey…hey…hey…
You could tell him the date of departure
Exactly the place and the time
He might really wanna be there
But he misses every time
Is he a man
Or a paper tiger
When you need him
Will he run or stand beside you
You could have been with me
Instead of alone with nothin’
You could have been with me
Instead of alone with nothin’
Hey…hey…hey…hey…
Hey…hey…hey…
You could have been with me
Instead of alone with nothin’, hey, yeah
You could have been with me
Instead of alone with nothin’
You could have been with me
Instead of alone with nothin’
You could have been with me
Instead of alone with nothin’, yeah, yeah
You could have been with me
