Subject: To post, or not to post
I've mentioned my daughter's way with words a few times in the couple of years I've been round here. She's just finished what I think is her very first complete solo parody: I don't know if you know the original (usually sung in a round):
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree
Merry merry king of the bush is he
Laugh, kookaburra, laugh kookaburra
Gay your life must be
In a move guaranteed to infuriate a parent (I had to promise I wasn't going to get angry with her before she'd tell me all the words :-)), she came up with this:
Kookaburra shi*s in the old gum tree
Smelly smelly king of the bush is he
Fart, kookaburra, fart kookaburra
Hey it was not me
I'm not sure whether to post it to amiright... she's changed her mind so many times about if she wants it there or not.

She was nine in December- no, she doesn't have a dirty mouth as a rule, and was dreadfully embarrassed singing the above to me. But then, I don't swear or use bad language as a rule, and look at some of my parodies :-)
She sang me a new song she's written last night, and that was her best yet (if I get her permission, I'll post it here). No wonder I'm a proud parent ;-)
