Subject: quick query on today's (11/26) Ricky Martin parody
The one by Mike Raf, "Livin' La Vida Yoda"...didn't Weird Al already do something like that? Not that it wasn't good, it just looked very similar to something that's already been done.
Just didn't want anyone getting in trouble in case of copyright violations or whatever.

considering the name of the person who maintains that site and the one who submitted the song to me are quite different, I have to think the one on the site was not submitted by the original author

Actually, the supposed 'Weird Al' version of Livin La Vida Yoda is not Weird Al at all...according to an unoffical Weird Al page...Weird Al did NOT do "Livin La Vida Yoda", nor did he do "Ugly Girl" (I believe that was by zthing.com, may be wrong though), or quite a few others.

well.. this person tried to submit three songs today that were all clearly Weird Al parodies (and a Z-thing one as well).. and someone else tried to submit a well known parody as well.. obviousily a few people are ignoring the posting rules.. looks like I need to check all the other parodies by this author for plagarism...
