I heard a song the other day from the early eighties and i can't find out who sang it or what it's called.
The only words i remember are "my mamma she told me, my mamma mamma told me" and "let's do it, let's do it, let's do it together". If anyone knows please put me out my misery.

well what pops into my head is "Mama told me not to come" by three dog night....Ill think about it though

Some of it was an electronic voice and the rest was a woman. It's a really funky song.
Another lyric I remember is "shake it, shake your body, hit the floor".
I reckon it was 81-85. ???

I have no clue what band it is or what the song name is, but I remember it being shown on Saterday Night Live in the early 80s. It had like the lead singer on keyboard/synthesizer as well. And he started to hand out stuff to the audence, they had kinda pathetic live shows :) but I do remember them...

It could be "Do It (Let Me See You Shake)" by The Bar-Kays. The synthesized voice is used on the lines "Shake it on down" and "Don't stop Now." circa 1982. Here's a link to lyrics:

hi, I am finding same song to know who it sing and name of song. Because it is old thread I want ask if u now know what is it? I have recorded it from old recorder in computer, but not good quality. Actually if someone want to know what is it here it is. I hope this will help in identification
