Don't forget it was Dean Martin who made this song famous.

Yeah<i love that version!Although since the boys have 5 ex-wives between them, the line"One man,one wife, one love through life....."does crack me up!"That's What You Do To Me" is pretty cool too.Cheers!

Not my favourite track on the CD, though a good one none-the-less. My fave is the (following?) track, Sleepless Nights. Chillingly beautiful.

I like Made To Love, personally, but you gotta pay close attention between verse and chorus to hear the piano (damn well played on some Ev tracks).

Marian, I'm probably gonna disappear from this thread now, but just be glad you don't have to listen to their version of "The House Of The Rising Sun". Avoid at all costs.

You made me curious! They one they hate the most is "Ring around My Rosie"Was "House of the Rising Sun"recorded when they were smoking pot? They have a single "Mary Jane"bw"Talk to the Flowers"

Yeah, they absolutely hated Ring Around. I have to say it's not one of my favourites, either. Just a "Ring around my Rosie, trying to steal my girl" line with Phil solos in the middle. That seemed to be the way they went post-classic.

# oh, mother, she was a tailor
she sowed our old bluejeans
our father he was a gambler
way down in new orleans #

Yeah, I've heard their single, Mary Jane, it's one of my favourite later tracks, for definite, and it features on one of the later H+H disks. I believe TTT-Flowers was one of the next tracks on the CDs themselves. Along with their cover of The House Of The Rising Sun, they also performed the following notable covers, taken from my collection of around 230 Ev tracks. Somebody Help Me, So Lonely, Signs That Will Never Change, Like Everytime Before, Pretty Flamingo, Like Everytime Before, Have You Ever Loved Somebody, Don't Run And Hide, Fifi The Flea, and Hard Hard Year (ordered) from their Two Yanks In England album. Also a cover of Release Me, which, given the song, they did well, but it must have been around 71, because their voices were so different. Anyhow... any other useless crap you need to know, I'm probably the guy to supply it.

As for their voices changing, they did start getting fat sometime in the 60s--Phil started gaining weight first, but I think Don holds the dubious record--he was really fat when they reunited--and they smoked more, too.I think the duo's collective personality changed after October 1962 following Don's suicide attempt.

Have you seen on the reunion concert album? Tee-hee. They had to hide their obesity with their guitars!

Actually,I thought Don was the fat one then.In a tabloid,it said that it was a good thing they didn't fight anymore because Don could squash Phil into "mashed potatoes"(look up everlynet, archive, reunion.)I'm not sure how much Don weighed--maybe close to 300 pounds?Well, nowadays I believe Don has lost weight and Phil is now the fat one--maybe they remembered that Don is supposed to be the "skinny"one. At any rate, they easily beat Elvis Presley or Bill Clinton for being fat---if you'll notice from younger photos, they have much finer bone structure than either one of them--they could actually be overweight if they didn't look it.They have similariies to Svetlana Khorkina or Paul Wylie--of course the brothers are taller, but similar build. When they were young, they could have been on "ASlly MacBeal".Maybe it's ti e to stop making fun of the cast of "Ally MacBeal"!Anyway, getting fatter can change your voice.Cheers!
