Subject: real lyrics for a few songs...
;D OK, everyone else is fooled, I know what the real lyrics are for a few songs. 8) Been thinking about these lately:
"There's gonna be a haunting tonite, a haunting tonite I know!"
It's really a ghost song and I can't figure out why they don't play this around Halloween.
"So now I come to you with broken arms...."
We see that Steve Perry really needs help. He's asking his girlfriend to take him to the hospital. Why does everyone think this is just some love song?

There's something about bushes in the Prélude which I'm sure our madcap friend will enlighten us upon... also, get well soon, Steve.

Phil, I'm not writing anything - just putting down "misheard lyrics" as allowed by the forum title. This is just recounting the way I hear those songs. And no, I've never looked at any of those sites covering such stuff.
But I will say I wrote alot of parodies in HS - both old songs and contemp. Such as "Like a S-lut", "Dweeber" - unfortunately I'm not sure I'd recall all the words as I don't think I have the notebook papers they were written on.
You know, I'm not sure "misheard lyrics" is a good title for this subject - more like, "poorly enunciated lyrics". Puts the blame where it belongs - the singers, not us legions of listeners who can't all be deaf!
