yup, just send me email and I'll take care of them..
I usually try and discourage it, since it does take work on my part.. but if someone has a valid reason, I'll take a parody down for them.. one author (who no longer posts here to my knowledge) had me remove well over 40 parodies, since he had sold some, and needed to remove them for copyright reasons..

if its not too much trouble i would like the one from today with row row row your boat gone as well as big snot and for calling change mike hunt i to ¨joe mama's¨ thanks

DUDE!!!
Dont get rid of "How To Succeed At Amiright Without Really Trying", that parody kicks ass!
I gave it 2, 5, and 5.

Is that the guy who wrote "Sixteen hours", a parody to Sixteen Tons? It was one of my favourites on amiright, and one of the parodies that drew me to the site in the first place. But then it went :-(

I think so.. you know, I don't think I even saved a back up copy of his parodies.. they were good, but since he usually picked the Beatles, people tended to not vote for them, since I think the age group here tends to slant younger.. though I'm 30 and the Beatles disbanded before I was born, and I still own all their CDs (even the early ones which really weren't that great)..

I dont like the earlier ones either...I refuse to buy the ones earlier than Revolver......
Subject: Re: is it possible
Yes, but Revolver UK (with the exception of the Godawful And Your Bird Can Sing) was the second ever perfect album.

yeah, that was really the turning point in their sound.. they were well established enough at that point they could start to push the boundries of pop music..

I say after Yesterday and Today they were good...before that, I could easily see their same songs being sung by boy-bands!
Subject: Re: is it possible
And some of them, unfortunately, have been, since...

Looking at their first albums (which had a high proportion of covers:original songs), they were writing songs like the ones they covered. Take Please Please Me for example: they were told to release "How do you do what you do to me" as a single, and refused, instead wrote PPM, in very much the same sort of style. It's a bit like saying that at the start they were writing what they thought the public wanted to hear (and were very good at it, too).
The main reason I prefer their later music is getting away from "love" themes, which get unbelievably monotonous after a while. Something a lot of today's bands could do with, too.

yeah, but unfortunetly I dont really care for the style that they were copying....Gary Lewis and the playboys isnt exactly great music.....
and the love song thing....exactly! Love songs are good, but when every one of your songs is a love song, it kind of seems pathetic...THe Beatles did have later love songs (Oh! Darlin' comes to mind), but they were awesome, nothing like the popyness of "I want to hold your hand"...
