Subject: Have lyrics . . . need title . . .
Written By: Ginger_Z on 09/02/02 at 05:07 p.m.
Hi,
I heard this folksy ballad on the local soft rock radio station earlier this week and can't remember the title or who sang it. Any help would be appreciated.
Here are the words:
Stanza
Is there someone you know
That is loving you so
Any you're taking them all for granted
You may lose them one day
Someone takes them away
And you . . . words you want to say. (close but no cigar there on the lyrics)
Chorus:
I would give everything I own
Give up my life, my heart, my home
I would give everything I own
Just to have you
Once again.
I thought maybe America?, Kansas? Supertramp? Help!
Thanks. Will check back later.
Ginger

That's "Everything I Own" by Bread from 1972.
