I keep hearing this song in a commercial on TV. This balding guy says he'd really like to have his hair back like when he was young and we cut to a shot of him with this blond hair all wavey and sculpted and looking ridiculous.
Obviously the singer of this 1980s nand/song had wild blond hair in a ridiculous scupture look on top of his head.
The lyrics are "...meeting a girl like you-ou-ou! Meeting a girl like you-ou-ou!..." and it's a catchy chorus.

Never seen the commercial but from what you say about the song and the singer with weird hair it sounds like "I Ran (So Far Away)" by A Flock Of Seagulls.
