Subject: Parody game #1 contest results

Well, me and STG both seemed to like this one the best. All of them were honestly very good, this one just really fit well with the original which is an awesome song, and the use of names of food was great. Only criticism I could have was that the fact it was in New York didnt have much relevance to the song, but I think it was changed to that so the song didnt have the same title as the original. The original title would have worked just as well in my opinion, unless there was a reason for it being New York that I just didnt notice. Congrats. Here's the parody!
"Around The World" Originally by Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Around New York" Parody by Tone-Def
this is for the chinese food contest.
All around new york
One thing's the same
They think its fun to chow
On shrimp lo mein
Came from the east
Went across lots of water
Now you can eat
What everybody oughtta
If you don't like hot
Food I'll tell you now
Stay away
From General Tso
Some boneless spare ribs
Just went on my plate
There's no doubt
They are really great
I know, I know for sure
There is good Chinese food around new york
I know, I know that's true
You say Gai Pan and then I say moo goo
In NYC
It is always nice
To get a whole pint of
Chicken fried rice
Unless you
Are really dumb
You'll eat an egg roll
Or you'll order dim sum
When you are there
I think you should make a
Stop at a
Take out place in Jamaica
I like my rice
Either white or brown not fried
Just like they do
In the upper west side
I know, I know for sure
There is good Chinese food around new york
I know, I know that's true
You say Gai Pan and then I say moo goo
If you wanna get
Lots of food from the east
Come and follow me
we'll have a feast
We can eat
Some real good food all day
If we get our
Chinese food through a buffet
Oh my I do
Like wonton soup
See guys eating it
On a Staten Island stoop
Around new york
It took me ages
Ate at all
The Chinese food places
I know, I know for sure
I know I know its true
For 2 years I have done nothing
But its all good you see
My fortune cookie said
Much good will come to me
I know, I know its true
You say gai pan and then I say moo goo

wow... I won! now i'm curious is there anything i actually win? And about new york i think it was to change the title but also because it was more about chinese-american food then actual Chinese cuisine which i believe is much healthier. I also used some places from ny in the song jamaica is jamaica queens not the carribean island.

That was a great parody, Tone. I can't wait for the results of Parody Game #2.

Well done, TD! Great parody, and as DJ64 said, the overall standard was very high...
...and I've got to know a few RHCP songs, too.
