I think I mentioned creating a possible "amIright Awards" for the parodies at the site about a year ago, which Chuckie approved of, and then I totally forgot about 'em for a year, and I realized with the new and improved messageboard (and the permission of Chucky), I could do 'em here right on the board!

If I recieve permission from Chucky, me and one or two other people could choose out favorites from the site from certain categories (ex.: "Best Food-Related Parody", "Best Parody Artist", "Best Overall Parody", "Best Political Parody", etc.) and compile 4-6 nominees in which the messageboard visitors could vote on.

Each week, thread(s?) would be set up and you would be allowed to vote once for one parody in each of the three categories that you would be allowed to vote for each week. After the week is up, any votes submitted after that time would not be counted.

Anyone helping with the awards can vote for the parodies, and even Chuck could vote if he wanted. You would be allowed to vote for yourself if you'd like.

It would be recommended that you check out the parodies before voting too. Self-Promotion is allowed. :)

If the idea is approved, then I will gladly be accepting offers of help! :D

That sounds cool.  I think it would be a fun thing to do, and I'd help out with it, too,  if you wanted.

Yeah, that be real cool.  But only one thing, there's many people out there so have several parodies done, say like STG or William Tong for example.  They are good artists, ,but they would have better chancees of winning,  right?  About the categories, how about best rap/rock/oldie/r&b parody category?  

Love the idea - much as I'd love to help, I'm not sure if I'd have enough time to commit to it, as I'd hate to leave you in the lurch.

Do you want formal suggetions for parody categories?  Should parodies be split by subject matter (e.g. food/politics) or source music period (e.g. 00s or 90s)

...could get kind of confusing, maybe KISS rules should apply ;-)

Subject (Food, Politics, McDonalds )

Music Genre (Rap, R&B, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Pop)

Decade (60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s)

Song Type (Parody Of Theme, amIright Dedication, etc.)

I'm all for it.. although I can't offer much in the way of support due to the fact that I'm still trying to get the websites moved (two done, three to go).. I've also got about 150 parodies still awaiting approval, just can't get caught up lately..

I've been looking at the voting results and reading some myself to find some nominees, and I've already got the "Best 60s Parody" category ready.

The three categories which y'all will be able to vote on from 6/2 to 6/8 will be "Best 60s Parody", "Best 70s Parody", and "Best Beatles Parody".
