So I have a friend that told me that at Uni they had a teacher who made them figure out the meaning and references to Pop Stars and events at the time Don Maclean wrote this song .Do you know the the stories? If you do I would love to read them.One thing I think is right is that the day the music died was a reference to Buddy Holly.
