Subject: Who sang: "You are my World" Late 80s UK

I'm trying to find a song I heard while living in London, in 1989.

The only lyric I remember is:

"You are My World, You are my (everything?)...."

I think the artist's first name is Nick.  But I don't think it was

Kershaw -- might have been Heyward, but I can't find anything out be him, if it was.

Nick Heyward did indeed score a minor hit in the U.K. in the Summer of '88 w/ a song titled "You're My World". (It failed to chart here in the States.) It was off his 1988 album, I Love You Avenue. Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, although it did come out on CD here in the U.S...

lol, Bobo - I don't think anyone's gonna hang you for that! :) Unlike most people w/ music q's (who provide no other info beyond just a line or two of lyrics), Jadis made things much easier in this case when he correctly stated that the artist's first name was "Nick". Every little bit of info helps! :)

pretty sure the band the Communards did a song with that name. Or was it Brosnki beat? around 1985-6.

'you are my world' was most definitely by the communards (sung by the lovely Jimmy Somerville). i bought the 'best of' album 2 days ago. absolutely fantastic song - one of my faves.    ::) ::) ::)
