Subject: Family Video
Written By: Ripley on 01/19/21 at 12:07 pm
The remaining Family Video stores are closing. It was announced a few days ago. Once everything is liquidated they’ll close their doors for the last time. As someone who grew up going to video stores this is sad. Thankfully, dvds and blu-rays are still available for purchase. Obviously I’m not against streaming and/or downloading films to our devices as I myself do this. Netflix is good I enjoy it. But if I want to rent a brand new movie I have to pay almost $20 everywhere. Then older ones are $4, whereas it was much cheaper for the physical copy at the video stores. Prices aside it just isn’t the same. This isn’t a rant, just a reflection. Farewell Family Video. Thank you for 42 years.
