Wow, Summer's almost over and in just another 3 weeks will be the first day of Fall. :o

Great day today dancing out in Lincoln. There were about 25 different sides dancing in various locations across the town today. Then we all met up at 3 pm to do a performance dance in front of the Minster (cathedral).

Last time we went to this event the afternoon part was cancelled because it was so wet. This year I think we all got slightly sunburnt because it was so sunny!

Took a canal tour of Manchester today and had fish & chips. Usually I don't like fish, but this one I could tolerate.

Went to the People's History Museum and War Museum yesterday. I never knew Manchester had such a rich history! Really fascinating stuff.

The day before that I went to Peak District National Park in the Midlands. Spectacular views.

Tomorrow I'm headed to Wales, Snowdonia specifically. It's a mountain with the highest peak in all of Wales and England at just over 1000 metres. I'm really excited!

Today was a LONG day, i just came back from going to the museum and stuff with my brother, we went to the store and got something to eat then went to the park for a little while and then we went to the museum and walked this tall tower with alot of steps which destroyed my legs, then went to another museum, and then we went to a another park with a waterful and a building which has animals (e.g turtles, snakes, frogs, toads, caterpillars, fish, crayfish and a possum, which was sleeping in its cage lol) then we walked to a long trail to the railroad and road on a train and took the bus and walked home, and also we TOOK ALOT of trains, my feet were hurting since we walked alot,

now I remember what I had forgot having to do with time.  It was that  um

Im tired of being a jester

Just back from my brothers house. My niece was 21 a couple of weeks ago and is moving out to start her new job soon so we had a family gathering to celebrate and say goodbye. She is going to be a paramedic.

Gonna take it easy today; none of us (that is, my parents & I) have anywhere to go on this Labor Day holiday.

Back to work today. Yet again the IT people have upgraded the system and nothing worked until lunchtime! This year we have one less day of training/prep time before the students come back so we needed to get back into the swing of things immediately which was difficult when we couldn't access student lists, timetables etc.

got some tickseed and a lavender yesterday and now I'm watching for 90 heat so I can plan to shade my plants.  They should be able to cool down by now but the temp is still 90 around here

I had to renew my bus pass today. I went to Kennedy Plaza and paid 10 dollars to have it renewed. Then I treated myself to some lunch at Subway. I had a crispy chicken with lettuce, tomatoe, and ranch dressing on Italian bread....it was soooo good! I ordered the foot long and gave the other half to my mom.

Twenty years ago this month, I used one, as I was not yet driving. This was to get myself to and from college in my first full month. I think mine was more than that.

Anyways, today my parents & I went up north on hwy 101 to the San Luis Obispo/Avila Beach area. We made our annual visit to Avila Valley Barn (to pick up some goodies that we can only get there) and to the Gopher Glen apple farm to pick up a whole bunch of apples. Had a great time. However, it was all foggy along the coastline, both on the way up and back.

today and probably tomorrow are rest from taking the bus days.  Mile long shopping area with only one bus stop.  Well, I got my exercise

Today I went to the library (to do my volunteering) and then in the evening I went out for dinner with a few people I know.

Tomorrow (Sunday) I will be out for most of the day, so I won't be around much, if at all.

think I need to rest myself a little from yesterday's shopping still.  I know I need to stuff my tummy still to make sure I have energy in me

Yesterday (Sunday) my family and I went to church, then we went out for brunch at Duke's, a restaurant in Malibu (which we'd gone to a LONG time ago, when it had a different name), then came back home.

Today was mostly a stay-at-home day for me, although we had to return our rental car in the morning. Then I did a little shopping.

went to the mall and got some shoes and then got on a bus I never took before to get to the bus transfer station. this route took me by all the stores I tried to figure out how to get to.

Just got back from a great evening out with the morris dancers. It is our secretary's 70th birthday so we went out for a meal.

Today, busy day. One member of our office staff has retired, and now we're cleaning out that person's office and making it available for the new person who joined us a couple o' months ago. So I helped out with that, while also doing my daily tasks.

There was a great sandwich place in Livermore when we went there a few years ago.  Sort of like Subway. Though they did put a bit too much horseradish (in my opinion - my husband loved it)

Met James's form tutor today for a brief chat at parents evening. Got his predicted grades for his final exams, but don't think they are at all relevant as they are based on the average of his best 8 exams scores and he is not really studying those subjects this year

wondering if I'll get to see another spider like the one in my avatar right now. 

Had another busy day at my work today. My company's fiscal period is coming to a close next week, so next week figures to be busier than usual.

I might need to say goodbye to my tickseed.  have three African daisies doing great, have a couple of what are probably hollyhock sprouts.  I just planted me some fall friends ( rest of my purple cone seeds and stuff).  they say we're zone 9 but no way, we're like 11.  thats why new zelend flax and humingbird mint seeds have been ordered.  something needs to be done about the backyard getting 10 hours of sun or nothing will survive anyway

Slightly mad weekend

Saturday was spent doing laundry, housework and shopping. In the evening Dai brought Elizabeth home from her geology field trip. I did some more laundry as Elizabeth bought some wet clothes back with her.

Today we loaded the car with boxes and cases and put Elizabeth's bike on the roof rack ready to take her back to university.  Then we jumped in the little car and drove to a pub to meet my dad and his friend Margaret for lunch. It was a nice meal, and we were too full for dessert.
In the afternoon Dai drove James to James's girlfriends house (it's their six month anniversary) and then drove back up to Cumbria.  I drove Elizabeth back to university, helped her unpack her things, took her out for something eat and then I drove home.

July was hot, August was hot and wet and we had these weeks of upper 80's, low 90's hazy hot and humid days so in a way I'm glad summer is over.

We have a "seasonal" tree in our backyard, and its leaves start changing colors in the fall. Every year I take pictures of it. I'm not expecting it to start turning colors until sometime in October.

Tomorrow figures to be a busy day @ work for me because it is the end of the month, as well as the end of the fiscal period for the company I work for.

well it's beyond my contract time that I should have started the program thing for a job.  My mom and I have left a message and it has not been returned.  Well, I felt good today just doing nothing

Busy day at work, doing end-of-month duties, as well as end-of-fiscal-year duties. Therefore, I ended up staying late at the office and having to battle congested traffic on the way home, but the important thing is that I'm home safe & sound.

Today figures to be a busy Saturday for me. I'll be going to the library to volunteer, then come home and bake some cookies... because I'm going out later on, to a party at someone's house; the person is hosting a "game night".

It was our school open day today, when prospective students and their parents come for a tour and to find out more about the school. In the science department we had various experiments set up for visitors to try to give a flavour of what we do.

I also did a parkrun this morning, I am trying to go every week if I can.

very depressed yesterday and ended up buying some more stuff at amazon.  I just want to start some sort of life if I am still suppose to be living here.  Mom says I need to be responsible ( remembering my phone number).  I have no motivation  stuck at home with mom.  I know I've said this before and probably more times then I can count, Am I ready to just say sorry God but I don't know what to do and drown myself in a canal or something?

So yesterday (Saturday) I had a good day. I did my library volunteering in the morning... and then later on I went to a friend's house for a "game night" in which we bring our own (board) games and play them. I brought my Yahtzee game to play, while other attendees brought games such as Scrabble, Scattergories, Boggle, a chess set, and some card decks. Had a great time! I played Scrabble with three other people and did fairly well; I played Scattergories with five other people and actually won!

And today we got up early to go to church; afterwards we went out for a meal and came home. Right now we're chillaxing.

I feel badly you are having such a hard time. But, things do get better eventually. Just staying positive all the time helps and do the best you can. I hope everything works out for you! Keep us posted, ok.
