Subject: Prospect Park is better than Central Park
Written By: TheReignMan99 on 05/01/18 at 4:29 pm
Central Park in Manhattan is by far the most famous park in NYC. However, in my opinion it's not the best one (it's only the third best after Prospect Park in Brooklyn and Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens).
I'm from Brooklyn and I rep hard for my borough. Prospect Park is the smaller but nicer version of Central Park (both parks were designed by the same people - Olmstead & Vaux). Prospect Park also receives much less tourists than Central Park (that's a good thing ;) ;D).

On my US trip, we spent a wonderful morning in Central Park, starting at the Dakota Mansion the home of John Lennon, next viewing Strawberry Field, walk to the Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, then headed to The Loeb Boathouse, but is was full of diners, we left in the direction of Columbus Circle, and heading on to the Schwarz Toy Shop. We ended up at Times Square, all walking. I want to spend more time seeking that bridge.

Prospect Park is better :P
We did not go to Brooklyn other than to pick up a relative.
BTW, it was October 8th (2013) when we where there. it seemed spooky to be there at Strawberry Field so close and one day before John Lennon's birthday, and if we went to Times Square the next day (on John Lennon's birthday) we would have seen a free concert by Paul McCartney.
