Anyways, I've had a good day today.
This week I will be working on Monday instead of Tuesday, because I am on call for jury duty this week; I have to call the courthouse hotline to see if my group number is scheduled to report the next day. My group number is not scheduled to report to the courthouse tomorrow, so I will have to call back tomorrow after 5pm to see if I'll need to report on Tuesday; if not, then I call again the next day...until my group number gets called in, or until the week ends, whichever comes first. Take it one day at a time.

When I did jury service, a long time ago, I still had to turn up, unless told otherwise the previous day. If so, I hope the case you will eventually sit on will be interesting?

Maybe I won't even get selected to be on a panel! I.O.W, I just go there for one day, report to the main jury room, and never get my name called. That's how it's been on most occasions. (Also, I've never had to report more than once during the week I'm called in.)

that's pretty much how it works here too... you first call in to see if your group is called... if your group is called then you sit around all (damn) day while the attorneys go through the jury selection process...
The nice thing about the process is they select a few groups at a time so.... if jeff is lucky they will find an acceptable jury before he gets to the having to go in and get selected stage.

I saw the ads. It does look like a good show.
We don't watch shows when they are on t.v. Can never make time to be in front of the t.v. when they are on. And in many cases, you never know when they will be on because they keep moving around.
What we have been doing is downloading them (usually through torrents), burning them to DVD and then watch them before going to bed. We did buy one series on DVD (Foyle's War). We have gone through most of the Star Trek series (couldn't get through Enterprise), The West Wing, and now we are on House MD. But, this will probably be the last series we get on torrents. We just got the entire house wired for wifi and bought a "smart t.v." with Roku, so we should be able to get shows either through Amazon (since I have Amazon Prime) and/or Netflix. Right now we have the DVD Netflix account but we are going to switch that to streaming.
So, maybe by the time we are done with House MD, we can watch that new show.

It's actually sad for the fact that people support this guy. I honestly don't know why, but one of the reasons might be that he's a Republican. Although, he's not a true Republican since he changed political parties five times. Would anybody even give a sh*t, aside from radical far-right politicians?

He wouldn't because he is a greedy bastard. He doesn't pay workers who he hired to do a job and then he wouldn't pay the lawyers who he hired when those same people he didn't pay sued him.
There are so many reasons why people shouldn't vote for him. Q already mentioned a few of them. But the list goes on and on and on.

A "cure" for allergies is to eat a teaspoon or two of LOCAL honey every day. It HAS to be LOCAL.

No. I went to jury duty on Wednesday...which is why I was away from this site for most of the day that day.
I described how things went for me at the courthouse that day on the 'Jury Duty' thread in TTT. :)
I didn't read it, obviously. ;D

So today (Thursday) I went back to work; my supervisor was pleased to hear that I only needed to be at jury duty for one day.
That's good to hear.

So quick update to y'all since I have been so busy lately.
Work is going fine.... School I have good grades with my lowest grade and only grade below an 85 being Physics at a 78 and my highest grade being a 95 in World Geography.
91 in AP Gov :)
Life has been going pretty great.... much better than it has been before. After the bottom on September 23rd, which happened to be my great grandmothers 1 year death anniversary life has been going on an uptrend, but its been so busy.
The day I have been waiting for is finally here, October 7th, 2016. I will be going to my local theme park tonight, Kings Island and finally seeing my best friend for the first time in 2 months. He is home for the weekend from college so I am very happy. We plan on hanging out on Sunday as well and going to Strickers Grove, a small amusement park in West Side Cincinnati. He also gave me an early birthday present(ONLY TIME I WILL MENTION and dont forget! October 13th is my 17th birthday. :) )for this Sunday so I cant wait! :) It is great to finally have a guy I can truly call my best friend, something I have been overly lacking in my life so far until now. And I am truly glad for it.....
This weekend will be the best weekend I have had in a long time. :)

Weather: Woke up to a very dark morning, fog, mist and all! Kinda creepy but I like it.
Shopping: Got myself a beautiful pair of Fall boots yesterday! Can not wait to wear them.
Love life: In 9 days it will be an anniversary for us..Lee and I. This makes me so happy, because I've never celebrated one for myself. Not sure yet what we'll do but we're thinking.
Family life: Been spending time with mom, she's been going through a lot in her life right now. I feel like I've been doing a great job cheering her up, which is good. And thankfully she is doing soo much better!

From the small world files.... one of the women I graduated HS with now lives in las vegas.... her husband, who was at the reunion with her, is a cop in Henderson. My mom's best friend has a son who is about 6 yrs younger than I am. I've known this guy most of my life... he is cop at the same department.

Yes, it is, although it is not used as much these days. The term has essentially been replaced by 'middle school' (MS), although the terms are still used interchangeably (at least in the US). Both contain grades 7 and 8; some schools also include grade 6 in the lineup, while others include grade 9 (although 9th grade in many schools (at least in California) is the first year of high school; at least that's how it was when I was there). However, it may be different in various school lineups around the US.

Things have taken a turn for the worst here! My bf is taking his parents side. We discussed me going home for family and it was cool with him and all. Then his parents got it in his head that I was leaving him at his worst. Yes he is barely able to move still but the idiot hospital here didn't do the right therapy. He was walking almost like normal before he came back here. And his parents aren't doing anything to help it. However, now that he is home and his wound is about all healed he is out of the woods. Point is, he is doing relatively well. I am ready to go home. I was going to go back after a couple months but they straight up said if I left now its over! Well I was close to leaving but those mfing jerks caused me to lose my ride! Now I have to get the money for a new ticket. I love him and know he wants to be with me but we still have so many problems. And to be quite honest, this lifestyle isn't for everyone. He will likely get pills from the streets again too. I hate it here, in his house. I hate saying this but I think it's going to be over once I do get out of here. But I have set up a new gofundme. So if you have fb please share my link thank you.

oh hi yesterday was Burgertime playing day and this morning was look up some stuff day. In the past, I've had a doctor tell me to clean my ear with baby oil. I did a couple days ago and woke up yesterday like there was stuff stuck through my throat. I read an article about a baby gagging itself to death swallowing baby oil. Yes this stuff can ending up gagging me, so i'm done cleaning my ears with it. So I looked some other stuff that might be okay for the ears and not be bad for my throught either. After a while, I got to an old wash your mouth out with soap article. If too much soap gets in your mouth, you may vomit or have diarrhea, but getting a little soap in me is starting to sound better then gagging from baby oil or brushing my teeth with a drug. I just looked up teeth brushing too and there are lots of things that can be used to brush your teeth with besides tooth paste.

Today I went with my dad to Palm Desert to help him with some more cleaning out of his parents' home. My uncle came with us too. This gave me an opportunity to clean out my grandparents' old rolltop desk, which I will begin using, once it is transported to our home next week. Also while we were there, a piano tuner guy came over to tune the piano in that house (it had been way out of tune for too many years; we are going to give it to a musician friend of ours); and a plumber also came over to fix the kitchen sink, which had sprung a leak. So all that got taken care of.
We were up very early, before 5 AM, so that we could get out to the desert early enough in the morning to take care of business. We left there by 1 PM so that we could stop for lunch and get back home before 5pm.

Well, my paternal grandparents lived in Palm Desert for the last several years of their lives, moving out there full time in the late 1990s, so they were a long distance from us. For us, it's a 3 1/2-hour drive out there (can be longer if heavy traffic is involved). And each time we go out there, we rent a car, so that we avoid wear and tear on our own vehicles.

Yeah, we wondered how my grandparents could put up with so much heat, especially in the summertime. :o
In fact, when my grandfather died, it was in July (on my birthday, in fact), and we went out to his home to start cleaning up a couple days later and had to endure the intense heat.
Thankfully, today it only got to 93 out there (still hot tho).

Elizabeth had her operation to straighten her nose yesterday.
She is fine, though obviously her nose is slightly tender. We have a follow up appointment on Thursday when the splint and strapping should be coming off.
Sending the best thoughts to you and Elizabeth!

Thanks for the good wishes for Elizabeth. The main annoying thing for her was we had tickets for Nickelback and then she wasn't allowed to go. Dai bought her and a friend tickets for another night and he will drive them across.
The rest of us still went to see them last night. Great concert.

Tonight we need to move our sofabed out of its current position and place it in the hall way so that the movers can pick it up tomorrow. We're donating it, to make way for a small rolltop desk that belonged to my grandfather (my dad, and possibly I, will be going out to the desert tomorrow to pick it up, place it in a rental car we'll be getting, and bring it back here).

Was there anything that you want to keep from your grandfather, so you could cherish it? I mean, as much as you loved him for a long time, maybe there's something that would remind you of him.

Yes, we are keeping some of the artwork that was in their home, as it does have plenty of significance. As well as the photo albums.

This week has been a half term holiday from school. Which means I have also been off work.
Elizabeth has not been out much because she is supposed to be avoiding sources of infection.
We've had some new windows and a new back door fitted. And sneakily used the scaffolding the installers needed to repaint the siding as we couldn't get ladders to it.
This afternoon we cleared out some unwanted games and we will take them to a charity shop in town soon. We're also going to look into joining ebay or somewhere as we have lots of lego and things to sell.
Tomorrow I am taking Elizabeth to the hospital to have her post op visit, hopefully the splint and dressing will come off and she will be able to go out and about.

I guess this thread is as good as any for a place to post this:
This morning my mom received news that a musician friend of hers has died after a courageous battle with cancer. :\'( This woman, who was only 47, never smoked a day in her life, but had been battling the disease for the last few years or so. And there were a couple of posts about it on my Facebook feed this morning, from a mutual friend, with a whole bunch of us (including me) tagged.
Well, as I've said before, fBLEEPk cancer. :P 8-P >:(

I don't think somebody who doesn't like smoking would go through second hand smoke. Unless they're oblivious over cigarette smoking being near them, whenever somebody smokes it as well.

mom as usual
At dinner she was talking about wanting to take a trip and I wasn't suppose to upset her. I said then I wont go. With Joel hearing and talking too, The words now are she doesn't want to drag me along if I don't want to go. I still said no. Then mom brought up that I had an appointment and her and dad would have to make an extra trip to pick me up and get me to my appointment. So I said fine I'll go. You know, I think I wouldn't mind finding out if I can actually take care of myself for a few days. Yes the doctors app is important and cant be canceled. I'm tired of either my mom changing words to make herself look better and or just wanting me to be able to read he mind.
I'm going to use the restroom now

James and I went to the Sealife Aquarium in Birmingham today. You can't get much further from the sea in the UK - apparently they bring tankers of sea water about 180 miles to the aquarium.
They have a great tank of Gentoo penguins - it was feeding time when we arrived. We also saw sea horses, rays, various eels and they have a glass tunnel so you can walk through the big tank with the sharks etc.
It was a special 2 for 1 offer so I spent the saving on a behind the scenes tour and a souvenir photo! We also went into the 4D film showing an episode of Octonauts.

There is a pretty good aquarium in Oklahoma. Talk about being as far away from the ocean as one can get.

Spent the day with my parents (today was their 40th anniversary); went up the coast to the San Luis Obispo area, stopping at Gopher Glen (the place where we get our apples every year), and also spending time in Avila Beach. This couple we know from church was spending time at a place in the area, so we visited with them and had lunch with them as well. Then later on my parents and I had a nice dinner at Chucks Steakhouse in Santa Barbara. :)

Currently sitting here in school trying to relax a little...
1st Quarter ended and I have got a GPA of 3.95! :D
First time making 1st honors and first time ever even making first or second honors. Lowest grade was an 86 in Physics
A friendship with my friend Daniel has been expanding even further... I had a really hard weekend last week and after going through hell I finally was rewarded with what has been a week straight of great conversations... we understand each other so much and he REALLY knows how to make me feel better... was having a panic attack over work on Saturday and he was there for me... and even texted me at 2:00 am after I got off...
A brotherhood of sorts in its infancy,....
Only 3 months and yet somehow we have become such great friends...
We will be hanging out over winter break a lot.... and I cannot wait for it.... :)
A Best Friend... something I have been desperately searching for and seeking all of my life has finally been gifted to me.... I am so glad and happy.....
Somebody who knows almost everything about me and sees me as who I am and yet still sticks around...
Brothers for each other it seems...
A Brother from another mother...
I dont have the best relationship with my family even in the slightest. So it is great to finally have somebody who I really would consider my brother.
Hes always there for me and I am for him....
Brotherhood....
I may not have had any success with relationships with the opposite sex, but you know what, I could care less... as long as I have a best friend, I dont really need a girlfriend.
Thats all I need....

Oh, by the way... her obituary was in yesterday's newspaper, and it indicated she lived in California her entire life. She was born in the L.A. area, and moved with her family to Camarillo (in Ventura County, to the west of L.A. County) when she was 9.
Her funeral is scheduled for this Saturday morning, and I might go to it (since I knew her fairly well, and was on good terms with her). My parents won't be able to go because they will be going to visit someone who lives far away.

Off to York tomorrow.
Elizabeth has a university interview and James and I are going to one or two museums.
We had planned to go to the Jorvik Viking exhibition but apparently it was flooded at the of last year and has been closed for refurbishment until April next year.
Take care and have a good time!

I did it to myself again. I started having some ketchup again then mom made some stuff with tomato sauce and now I'm on vomiting alert and enjoying a headache. I rec to myself no tomatos for a week.

Today was a busy work day today. (Yes, I know it's Friday, but this week I worked on Wednesday and Friday rather than the usual Tuesday/Thursday, cuz my supervisor wanted me to come in on W/F instead. And that's fine because I'm quite flexible.)

Yesterday afternoon Elizabeth realised the party she's going to tonight is fancy dress. Grrr
I had a great idea for a costume, but the main part of it is missing. I think a box of costumes got lost in our move from the US. I'm sure we wouldn't have thrown all the stuff out.
Anyway we will be running around the shops this afternoon to see what we can find!

So this morning I decided to go to the funeral. The church was packed; this woman knew lots of people, from having worked in church for a good part of her life, and she had a big family.

I enjoyed the event today and had a fairly decent finish time (for me).
Back to work/school tomorrow

There were two people that interviewed me. I think 3, or 4, at the most, people, are competing for this job. The lead janitor guy (one of the interviewers) seemed to mesh well with me. My gut usually is right 90% of the time. The lady, the other interviewer, was bubbly yet serious. I got a good vibe from both of them. That's a great sign. Not necessarily a guarantee though. You can only be so prepared. The rest I just let go to God, or whatever.

not many trick or treaters I kind of felt sad. I told you earlier Joel set up all the video stuff which is cool, but I wanted to take a picture and couldn't couldn't figure out how to take it off the stand or turn it back to pics and not video. I don't know where the instructions are if I wanted to try and figure out how to work the thing. I also don't want to ask Joel or anyone to do everything for me though.
Octvember- I'm frustrated because now job like thing has been found for me so I'm not doing anything. I haven't given up wanting to do a video, but there being something to look at that I cant figure out how to use it Getting me down.
I definatly want a place where I can perform my stupid parodies and stuff live somewhere. I don't think I'm going to be popular forever on youtube for people to keep looking at and laughing at my stuff.
Just I don't know and tired of healing and want to do what's right

true
you can see I'm just upset because I don't have any kind of work or anything. I just wonder if the best thing for me to do is forget the videos unless Joel can do The one or two I have written now some time soon. The way Youtube is set up seems to suck. Anyway, I'm down because I'm not doing anything and yes, I'd love to perform somewhere or something.

my psy wants me to ask someone how to become a performer because she knows I'd like to perform my parodies and stuff. I don't get what she might me to ask you. I just do things. Maybe it's more how I might be able to sign up somewhere and make it a job. I was talking to my mom earlier and getting a job seems more important then me wanting to performing my parodies. I guess to her being an entertainer cant be a job. So anyway that's that.
I found the instructions for my video camera and am going to see if I can figure out how to use the thing myself or I may just end up throwing it out the window and not knowing what I got till it's gone
What else, See if I can go back to music class and if I can perform for them some day or something. Perhaps someone there can help me with the video camera.
I'm going to get me some candy

Maybe you can get a job, and make enough money to move out. Therefore, you can make your videos on your own time. Of course, I don't know your physical and mental health, 100%, and all the details of it. So perhaps your mother may be right in a way, wanting you to get a job. Perhaps she wants you to be independent and make it on your own, because she's not going to be around forever.
My gut is telling me that your mother is probably not always aware of how she comes off (maybe she comes on too strong, or is too anxious at times). She probably doesn't do it on purpose and loves you, but acts out her own ignorance, and anxiety.
I'm sure people who know more about your health, know more than me, or anyone on this forum, if you're capable of doing whatever. Maybe you can get a job, and then prove to them that you can make it on your own, first.

1. I have to ask people to repeat themselves a lot because my brain does not process what I hear even if the processor picks up sound. This is going to rid lots of possible jobs right here. I may be able to do something at a computer or something when my cat acs get fixed ( reading more so and not listening). I am in advised by doctors not to drive a car, but that doesn't mean I cant get a bike or walk. I may not need as many doctors as I still have. All I can say is that my mom seems to have to do everything for me because it seems I may forget something. It's been this way all my live, and she never let me do anything when I was younger ( 21 deaf and nero testing) and now My brain has gotten worse. I'd probably be happier thrown in a rest home and performing for others in the rest home.
