Busy, busy, busy.


Last Wednesday, we picked SIL up at that airport. Carlos' oldest daughter & her two girls also came in that day and we went over to his 2nd daughter's house to visit for a bit before coming home. My step-daughter & the girls went with Carlos' ex.

Saturday was our annual Spring Fling barbecue. My aunt & uncle came. They left yesterday & SIL & I headed to the casino (lost  :\'( :\'( ). I was sitting next to a guy who won the BIG ONE-$7000!!!!  :o :o :o  Why didn't I sit at THAT machine?  :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'(

I have a few minutes now where I am doing laundry including sheets.

This evening, oldest step-daughter & her two girls are coming. Carlos' ex will be dropping them off.

On Thursday, we go back north for oldest granddaughter's piano recital. Don't know who is coming back with us. We know one granddaughter will be staying up there with 2nd daughter. Don't know about the other girl and Carlos' oldest daughter. We shall see.

Friday night, Carlos' youngest & her kids (don't know about her husband) is coming and will spend the night.

Saturday-the BIG PARTY!!! Everyone is SUPPOSED to be here (except the ex). I think everyone will be leaving Saturday night.

Sunday, SIL will be flying out with oldest daughter & two girls early-which is why they will leave here on Saturday night and stay at 2nd daughter's house (which is only about 2 miles or so from the airport). For us, it will probably be a quiet day-cleaning. And next Monday-I'm doing NOTHING!!!!

Last weekend, we had our Spring Fling celebration. My aunt & uncle brought A LOT of food (hamburgers, hot dogs, steak tips, buns, condiments, etc.) and left it all here. Not to mention all our guests bringing something and leaving it. While sitting outside, our handyman stopped with no-bake cookies. Ok, that was very nice. Then the other day, we were sitting out there and our next door neighbor came over with a cake. She said that she had two of them-ate one and couldn't eat the other one. So, she gave it to us. Again, that was really nice but we started to wonder, do we look hungry that people think that we NEED food?  :D ;D ;D ;D

Elizabeth has been doing her SAT subject tests today.  Dai took her last night to the town with the nearest test centre so she could be there for the 8 am start.

She has been working hard trying to study for these tests as they mainly cover material she will do next year in school here.  And at the same time she's been revising her current school stuff for exams she is doing at the moment.

These are for the American colleges.

In the UK system Elizabeth is taking AS level exams at the moment and her university application form will have these results on.  She takes her final A level (Advanced level) exams next summer and these grades determine whether she would get into her chosen UK university.  These are national exams that all students studying the same subjects take at the same time.  Subject choices are much more specialised in the UK system.  Elizabeth is studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

Tomorrow morning at approxamately 10:30 Am Eastern/9:30 Am Central we will be taking my niece to the zoo. A three generation day of fun! Finally! I haven't been in 3 years. I might take pictures. If I remember. And if I do I will post them on here for sure. I can't wait to see her face in excitement at seeing the animals!

Better than I thought they would. Two were no where to be found-which I figured. But, Electra didn't seem to mind all the chaos going on for the past week. She even let the kids pet her. During the party when there was I don't know how many people in the living room, Electra actually came out to say hello. She even jumped up on the arm of my chair (her usual perch). I was surprised that she was out & about.

There were a few days when it was just SIL with us, the other two came out, also. Actually, I think Elvira was playing with one of the grandkids-but she was the only kid here at the time.

My cats are complete opposites. Falcon is very shy and hides. Where as Buddy is outgoing and will let most strangers near him.

Yeah, some pets are like that. My late dog Chloe, whom we lost almost five years ago, was shy around certain company, but got accustomed to other guests in our home (such as family members). However, she'd often bark like crazy when someone came up to the door (i.e., knocked or rang the doorbell).

I have been with Lee, it will be 8 months this month. We have a very good relationship and he's been super good to me! I can say that he is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. He wants to go all the way with me tomorrow(I know, I know too much information! Lol). We have gone Quimsticking before ;D ;D(quimsticking wth! LOL) But I adore this person, and it's scary when I imagine my life without him :-[  Or when I think about my life before I met him. Being in love is awesome, but it is also kinda scary because of the reasons I just explained. I know some of you on here are married already, is it normal to think this way sometimes? I should have posted this on Tenacious Tuxedo Talk. Oh well ::)

But I never fell deep for them. There were also things that connect us. I have a very strong ESP and I just randomly got his name in my head one day a couple of weeks before we met. That's just the start of it. He is from Georgia, not far from Atlanta. I got my cat in 2010. He was named Falcon and I kept the name. And years later I would find a man whose team is the Falcons. There is more. There is also so much about my psychic thoughts that I could write a big essay on. So that's how I know I am right. I'm not sure if you believe in that stuff but I'm sure you believe in fate. Anyhow, we argue a lot and I know a big part of it is the stress with his health and our money problems. So that's why I am confident we will get through it. And cause of what I mentioned above. But from all you post and pictures I have this strong feeling that you two get along great and are a perfect pair. As far as the "going all the way" part. It's when you feel it is right. People are ready at various stages. It both depends on themselves and the person they are with. I will be TMI as well and say I have a lot of experience in this since I was young at first. But it matters mainly on if both of you are ready. But you are a smart girl so I'm sure you made the best decision for yourself.  :) *hugs*

Today we went to the Aviation museum. It was okay but not as good as expected. Thats it for a while for museums. Next up is going to see Independence Day Resurgence. Were going to the IMAX. We actually have some passes. But we're going on premiere day!

Still feeling down with the cough and flu feeling, I should rest more.

This week I am working on Monday (today) and Friday, rather than the usual Tuesday and Thursday, because last week I was informed that there'd be special visitors to the office on Tuesday/Thursday of this week. But that's okay, because I have nothing going on during the rest of the week, so my schedule is flexible. Still, that gave me an opportunity to accomplish what I would have done tomorrow. :)

I don't know what it is with me lately! I have this "obsession" with food. Like today, Lee and I had decided to take my mom out to a restaurant called the Royal Buffet for her birthday. I ate...of course, but thankfully no seconds and NO DESSERT. I have to admit, I am concerned about it. Everything I see at the market I MUST HAVE! Mom wants me to eat healthy, and so does Lee but he likes it when I just eat. He makes sure I have my daily potassium and healthy foods, so I won't get weak and pass out like I did a while back which scared him.  I try getting more protein in my diet so I'm not always hungry. I can't help it though....

Casually passing by the desserts section at the market, "*sigh* brownies!!....Fancy cakes(Little Debbie)!!"

I have learned that NO food should be off-limits (unless you have allergies, you are a diabetic or something like that). The key is finding the balance where you don't feel deprived but not over-do. You might want to rethink your diet and find more a balance.

And a little bit of water. I avoid sodas now, but I have diet coke occasionally...not often.

Had a busy work day today, which is good, because I accomplished things. The drive home, however, took longer than normal, due to Friday afternoon traffic on Hwy 101.

Could not keep my eyes open today, even though I got plenty of rest yesterday night. I was watching a movie with Lee and he practically had to keep shaking me up so I could open my eyes. I wasn't really sleeping or sleepy, my eyes felt heavy and kept closing as I watched our movie. I just could not for the life of me keep my eyes open! Then Lee decided maybe I needed some time outside to get some sunshine and air...even though we were outside before watching the movie anyway. It helped, a little. Eventually I was able to open them and keep them open. I have no clue as to why my eyes felt so heavy.  :(

My feet ache!

A combination of the heat and a busy couple of days at work.  this week is project week for the younger girls at school.  one year group have been doing a CSI style forensic investigation to find 'who stole the cupcakes?'  We provided all the evidence for them to assess and they also had to do a poster and a video of a news report into the 'crime'.  There has been paper, glitter and glue everywhere, plus dozens of requests for random items such as string, tape, etc and several IT faiures!

Also we helped prepare stuff for another year group doing Harry Potter themed activities - quill making, broom stick flying and quidditch today, models of monsters, magic potions and owls tomorrow

In two days well Thursday, that's my one year mark at work. Yay: p not much of a job when I get 16 hrs. That check is only going to be half of rent. Who else here has dealt with getting part time when you requested and need full? I'm 31, not 17. 😥

Lee was gong to do that, but it's public transportation, and they have cameras all over the bus. If we start trouble they can take action against us.

We were still on the bus when this happened, and Lee stood up to go stand next to me. A few minutes later, it was our stop and we got off. Instinctively, Lee made sure I was ok. Thankfully we went into the library after. And stayed there a bit. There were no shops around anywhere.


He should have been thrown off the bus through the window! Lol.

Had a dental appointment this afternoon. On the way back, I had to battle heavy traffic on the road...so it took longer than normal to get home.

My mom and I went to see Independence Day: Resurgence today. It was good. Great acting, nice special effects. Roland did good on the story and directing. But I must say that all the technology is over the top, and I wish it wasn't. Without giving too much away I'll just say that it looks more like it's set 100 years from now. I would much rather it look like present time.

One more week and I can say Goodbye town!

Had a wonderful day with the family. My little niece Sophia has turned 4! So the day before yesterday, I went shopping for her birthday gift with Lee and my mother. It wasn't too hard to find. We had decided at first to get her a My Little Pony but my mother choose to get her that, so we continued to look around for her gift. I remembered getting her a Lala Loopsy plush doll not too long ago. So I didnt want to get Sophia another one. After looking around for what seemed like ages, We finally chose a Sofia the first doll. She was absolutely adorable: purple dress, purple shoes, and a tiara in her hair. Sophia loved it, thankfully! It was a great day for her.  :)

Something horrible happened at work! Somebody ran over the cat that lived in our Garden department. Not a person in a car but a forklift. And there is a good chance it was on purpose. I won't go into the graphic details cause nobody wants to read that but from the looks of it it was on purpose. People that torture animals make me sick!
