What's on the agenda for March?
Paleyfest... if I can call in a bunch of favors and get the time off that I need...
I mean I really want to go I haven't missed it since 1999 but this frigging work schedule is making it difficult.

56 in human years?
Not necessarily... a dog is actually full grown by the time it is a year old. Each subsequent year, depending on breed and size of the dog, is equivalent to roughly three or four years of a person's life.

It's different for each breed of dog?

I just did a google search...
For the first two years, a dog year is equal to 10.5 human years (so two dog years would be about 21 human years). After that, each dog year equals 4 human years. This calculation is based on studies that indicate dogs, except maybe larger breeds, develop more quickly in the first two years of life.

March is pretty quiet for me. I gotta get my gas meter changed. (big whoop) I have another classic film standing that I'm excited about at the end of the month: I'm going to see Cecil B. DeMille's "Ten Commandments" on the big screen a week before Easter. Extremely excited. I only wish my mother were here to see it. Other than that, I'm writing, easing into a light diet and trying to see if the fellow down the street from me who likes me will ask me out or not. ::)
(And I'm waiting with bated breath with the rest of the fan base for the announcement of a 3T concert tour that includes the USA. I meed to know so I can go ransack Forever 21.)

I'm feeling much better as of late for the past 2 days my stomach was so irritated, I had to use the bathroom on Wednesday 5 times and yesterday 6 times so altogether 11 in total. I thought at first it was IBS or I had Crohn's Disease but it was just being stressed out from work that was making me go to the toilet many times.

James was supposed to be going away for the weekend but snow has cancelled his trip.
Elizabeth is playing in a concert at the concert hall in the nearby city tomorrow night. We've now got to try and get an extra ticket for James. And, in checking our seating details, we've just realised we didn't receive our tickets that we booked in January.
Orienteering on SUnday if the snow doesn't cancel that as well

well yesterday I got to tell the psychologist another story about my mom making a bigger fool out of herself. I also got her to take me to Party City to look for a wolf nose or something. I bought me some black balloons so I'd have some latex to work with. I also did some more performing thinking for what I'd like to try to do.
Wanna see me with my sheep suit on?
Or would that just make you groan?
I'm doing laundry now.

I just had my first official day in the Garden department and it went well I think. This Sunday we have a meeting which I don't have to go to but I am for the free food lol
We have different activities we can participate in each week if we want. Things like art projects and dressing up. Different free food days. Sometimes ice cream. Little things just to rest up, put us in a good mood I guess. But there is a suggestion box for ideas. I wrote one saying we should have decade themed weeks. Each week a different decade. We all dress in that decades styles and do things related to it. Being the nostalgia lover I am, I think it sounds like a great idea. What do you guys think? And I didn't put my name but it's in a fun pink ink so if anyone knows I write with a pink pen lol

What shall we have to eat during our party?
For Elizabethan food, poor people may have had humble and unvaried diets, consisting largely of bread, fish, cheese and ale, but the rich of Elizabethan England ate well. All kind of meats were served such as lamb, beef, mutton, pork, bacon, veal, rabbit, hare, and fowl such as peacock, swan, goose, blackbirds and pigeon.

So I've been at my current part time job position for a little more than a month and a half, which is about how long I was at my previous paid position (the law firm). I feel that this is a good fit for me (despite the long drive to and from there), and I also feel that I've learned more and gotten more out of it than I did at the previous place. In fact, I learned a new task there today. :)

You don't have to answer, but was the previous job too dry/earthy for you?
I didn't feel quite "at ease" there so to speak, since there was at least one computer program that I didn't know about; plus, they had a certain procedure they had to follow that I never totally grasped. But it was a learning experience.
I've been gone from there for four months now; I wonder in a sense if the bookkeeper who replaced me is still there. But I'm not gonna worry.

good to see you're doing well. :)

I have all but one shift covered for Paleyfest.
Technically all but two shifts covered.
I go to work at 3am (instead of 930pm) and I leave for la right after work
Then I go to two panels on sat 2pm-10pm then I drive back to Santa Barbara and work from midnight til 3 then I drive back to la to sleep and go to two more panels 2-10.
And the following Sunday I leave right after the event because I work a 15 hour day on Monday starting at 730am
Plus I have all the panels inbetween those a crazy days.

I have a little vaca from work. I asked for Friday - Sunday off for my birthday weekend. And Monday and Tuesday are now my normal days off. So all that was put together for 5 days!
Here are my plans:
Tonight I'm giving the dog a bath. Tomorrow morning I'm vaccuming. It will be my birthday but it still needs done so lol. Then we will have a Reese's Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cake by Friendly's that we bought at the store. On the weekend I'm relaxing. Sunday night, after close, there is our meeting at work. I will go up there for about 2 hours. Monday and Tuesday I will relax again. Dammit I deserve to lol
I have some posts in mind for here. I will get to them during my days off. I plan to start tonight.

Thanks! I still need to bath the dog. I actually need to shave her a bit. But that part can wait. I won't vaccum yet. I actually hate cleaning. I dread it. I love cleanliness but just not the actual tasks. But I am a neat freak! If things are out of place it bugs me. When thing are on the counter that shouldn't be I get irritated. Ask my mom lol It gives me a happy feeling when I go through old stuff and get rid of useless papers and reorganizing drawers is a big one!

When I was outside a little earlier a Red Admiral flew on to the fence by me. I came in and read that these butterflies will overwinter where there is no frost.

was my morning to sleep in a little. I have paperwork to do with my mom and I need to do a load of laundry. Did I tell you that at one time a while back I tried planting a bunch of Nettle weeds in my garden because that seems to be the only way I can get any kind of a butterfly host plant in my yard. I got them through Amazon and they only might sell them in a group of thousands of seeds. Now is the time to get some garden soil a pot a few of each of the different varieties and pull up the rest of them before the whole back yard gets seeded with weeds. Oh and yes they are the Host plant of the Red Admiral which is the butterfly that overwinters here. Want me to tell you ore about these butterflies or have you heard enough?

Last night was horrible. My S.O. was sick in more ways then one. So I stayed up with him most of the night. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep. I have felt a bit sick today. My stomack is okay but its kind of hard to explain. As if being Anemic and having back pain weren't enough. I'm so tired. But the ways he was sick are not contagious. I don't want to get into it. But I don't think he got me sick. Its the not getting sleep. This has happened before when I had limited sleep. He's still sick but he's a bit better. I should be home for both of us. But I can't afford to take off. So I worked 4 hours. Now I have to wait on my mom to get off and come pick me up. Today was crap. I didn't get my watering all done cause these think they know it all vendors kept bothering me.

Yeah you did mention blurry pics back then didn't you. Hopefully I wont be putting up any more blurry stuff. No no one told me to stop saying anything I'm just kind of messing around in my own way. I think I would like to play with the evil trolls a little more, but the gold and wet money were about all I can handle so I'm back in the arcade doing game testing.

I used to get mad/upset when certain users took crowns from games I got the high scores in (specifically, those who seem to register solely for the Arcade), particularly when it happens shortly after I dethrone them (like a cat-and-mouse battle).... but it doesn't really bother me anymore.

and yeah, I'm a troll Ann I may not always make it clear that I'm teasing and sometimes it may be done a little weird. I'm okay though and thanks for any concerns. It just seems to be time for me to continue to go to the arcade and maybe start some video stuff when I get back. I'm taking some lyrics to write my second parody video. The third one planned is my little pig one and I may have gotten a fourth idea I can do with a song I can play my harmonica with.
I wouldn't mind hearing any parody video comments if anyone has any, I have That wolf pic up to help keep me in a good positive mood for doing the videos when I can if I can. I don't know if many of you know much about doing video or playing instruments or anything. I just know someone commented back to me once when I said I couldn't play the guitar.

On a related note, we've been exploring the options for replacing the carpeting and floors in our home, which is 15 years old now. The other day a guy came over to take measurements of the floors in each room of the house. We also selected the floor options (carpeting and hard floor); now we need to contact the flooring company office and arrange for an appointment so that they can do it. But first they will need to have the appropriate supplies in stock.

Yeah. They make it look simple on HGTV. However, I think each episode (of any one particular show) takes several days to film because the project in question usually takes a while to complete. We just see the various phases of the project as the people are doing 'em. However, such programs have given us some inspiration, in a sense.

Yes. The last time my mom redid the floors it took several weeks. Not like on Leave It To Bryan or Holmes Makes It Right where they pack everything into an hour long show.

We had our home fixed up within the past couple of years, from fixing the basement to the carpet that's been in our house for over 40 years. It cost my parents a lot but it was worth it in the end.

I didn't want to get it done but it needed to happen. From the cavities to the gums and now the wisdom teeth, hopefully I'll still have my teeth when I'm in my 60's. :(

I literally just gave all of my anxieties and worries to the universe a few days ago. And I've felt REALLY good since then.
I feel like I'm floating on air, a lot lighter. You can't control everything, so I just let a lot go.
keep on doing what you're doing. :)

Had a really nice Easter... went to church in the morning with my parents (they had to help lead the music), and then out to a nice brunch buffet at an Italian eatery that we enjoy. Now we are relaxing at home. :)

we went to visit Dai's mum for the Easter weekend. We drove down on Thursday evening.
On Friday morning we went to a nearby Go Ape! (a high ropes course in the trees). You are clipped on to a safety line at all times and have to negotiate various rope bridges, cargo nets and other traverses, plus some zip lines. I found it a bit scary at times. Elizabeth dropped back from the family group to help a younger girl who was struggling. She couldn't undo one clip, but her father couldn't climb up to help as she was clipped into the safety line he needed to use.
In the afternoon we went for a walk along the cliff tops and then had ice cream.
the weather wasn't so good on Saturday and Sunday so we did jobs around the house such as fitting new fluorescent tubes that Dai's mum couldn't do.

Just wondering if anyone gives a dam that I'm trying to do something I never done before ( a video). No one has said anything to me in any way or even teased me about this. At least I got someone to ask me where my parodies were so I know someone cares that I do them.

Very funny. Not usually fan friendly tho. It's my 4th time seeing him and my second time getting pic.
I guess he's happier at premieres lol

I'm going to be posting some old pics of my family in a few minutes. I don't have a scanner so I had to take pics of the actual pics with my phone camera. I turned on the lights, I promise. But it just makes some pics come out hard to see. But I hope they turn out good. I have to upload and get the links first. Then I'll post them! ♡

They're posted! But it took a while cause the uploaded I was using sucks. So I had to go about it a different way. Doing this made me emotional. It got me thinking about how I miss when we all got together as a family. :'(

I just came back from Sacramento with a new hearing processor that will let me hear pitches a little higher. I sang while I was riding home. Ma ma ooh ooh ooh ooh it finally sounds normal to me again.

Great. Do you need to do any therapy to 'train' your hearing to recognise this higher range?

we've been off school/work this week for the Easter break.
Elizabeth is busy revising and is very disciplined at organising her time and actually working hard during her study time. She is also getting ready to do her driving theory test next week.
James is reluctantly coming round to the idea of studying during the holidays and does a couple of hours of homework and getting his notes in order etc. He is more easily distracted by iPads, Warhammer models and books so needs a gentle nag now and then.
I've got a mental list of things I need to get done around the house and try and tick off one or two a day. I should make the most of the dry, sunny weather and wash windows or mop floors or something but I am not quite motivated enough yet!
James goes away on a school ski trip this weekend, and so Elizabeth and I have planned some trips related to her studies/university plans next week. Plus some shopping!

Me neither!
In the UK the system is that you apply to five universities, who will hopefully offer you a place on their course, if you achieve their required grades in the national exams (A-levels). Of these five you choose your top two and then cross your fingers that you get the grades you need! These decisions need to be made about this time next year.
Just to add things to the mix Elizabeth is doing US SATs (she did the ACT's last summer) and putting in some applications to US colleges as well! So we need to get our heads round this other application process too

Another productive day for me today... I learned once again how to use the scanner. So far everything is going quite well for me; I still have a couple weeks or so left in my "training" period. By the end of that time, I feel I should be well-trained (if not already). :)
