We plan to.

Before Christmas there was The Sound Of Music Live, which was also good.

I hope for more.

The movie was good but I really enjoyed this more because it was live and because there were so many moving parts to it. They did a fantastic job and, worked way harder than the movie actors did.

Had a great day. This morning I was a little worried I didn't have any energy and I felt tired even though I had slept more than 8 hours! I figured maybe it's my age :-\\....and I don't have the same energy I use to have when I was in my 20s. Definitely feels like that, I can even remember all the extra energy I had when I was 25. Sometimes I forget that I will be 40 in only 5 more years and energy levels go down at that age. So, my sister in law suggested I take yoga classes, or workout for energy boosts. I think I will give yoga a try. I will go to Youtube to watch yoga videos since I'm not really sure what yoga is exactly, lol.

In other news, it was a gorgeous sunny and warm day today! Such a difference from the last few days it was freezing cold. I loved it because it felt like early Summer, and Summer happens to be my favorite season. I really enjoyed the sunshine and warm temps. I hope it remains that way the rest of the month!

Last night before I went to music class, I was in the Arcade here  and got the high score for a game.  I haven't played anything in the Arcade for a while.  Does anyone go in the Arcade?

I had a hard time doing the twist on a carpet floor.  Had my fun singing.

I think we will be fine, and are more likely to have things go wrong by trying too hard.

But the production values of the film don't even come close to the live performance! I would like the acting of the film with the production values of the live performance. I was impressed as hell by everyone working on the live show and thought the film was just okay.

Think of the type of volunteering you would like to do.  Is it being with people/helping in a shop/shaking a can on a street corner/typing a newsletter?

Think of the type of charity you would like to support.  Children/elderly/specific illness etc.

Approach a charity directly.  There will be some information on the web about most charities even if it isn't their dedicated website.  So find an address to write to or call in.

School inspection went well.  Now we can relax!  We will get a full report in a couple of weeks time, but we think we get a thumbs up.

Busy weekend juggling orienteering (I rashly agreed to meet students at events yesterday and today), James with karate and a birthday party, shopping etc.  Plus watching lots of rugby matches on the tv.

Also met Elizabeth's boyfriend for the first time yesterday.  eek!

I'm not real sure what I'd want to volunteer doing.  This is something my mom wants me to do as well as a psychologist so I can learn communication skills so I can maybe become a parodist.  It would make more since to me to find out who it is I might need to communicate with or what I need to do to start at whatever level of parodying or whatever I do.  I draw and paint, I could do some sort of art thing.  You know I do Photobucket stuff.  I love butterflies and can garden at some level, just not JC level.

Passed out at the cinema, because of lack of vitamins. If anyone goes about their day and you feel weakened it is most likely a vitamin missing from your diet. It was the worst experience I have ever had. As I lay on the floor at the Mall, I heard a lady call out to me if I was ok. Then I heard my boyfriend try to get me up, calling my name also. I could not move but I could feel his tapping my face lightly so I could respond. I could hear everything but could not move! Soon, I had ft myself being pulled up onto a stretcher. All this happening I could not open my eyes. I could feel kisses on my cheek (my boyfriend). And the paramedics giving him a hard time while they were taking blood samples and vitals. After what seemed like hours I could open my eyes just a little. I hadn't realized I was taken to the clinic. Spent over two hours waiting. By then I could open my eyes and move just a bit. Soon I was told it was lack of vitamins. Particularly potassium. I was surprised! I did not know that not having any potassium  could make someone passout. Soon I was sent home and now I have to make sure my potassium intake is good. Feeling better, thankfully.

Fainting is not a fun experience at all
I ended up in the hospital and had several tests run. I have severe Anemia. Its not the kind that can go away. Not even an Iron vitamin subsides it well as I take thwm. I should be getting injections actually. So I feel weak a lot. But glad you're okay.

I actually first joined around March 2004 or so, it was just before the "old board" went down and they re did the site. I was 16 years old at the time (about to turn 17 in May) and a junior in high school. I was also in driving school at the time. I'm a veteran driver now with a spotless record lol. I think it was in April of 2004 that this site was down for a bit and they relaunched.

I had on my best Winter boots but I could still free the freezing cold go right through them. :( I had to walk around like that a bit just before I got home. It was a great day anyway. :) Still waiting for someone to get back to me about my demo song. I'm really excited about it but I haven't heard back from this person. I just hope he didn't forget.

No. All work must be done in the office.

However, I already have prior experience with Quickbooks and Access. I even saved my tutorial books on those programs to refer to at home for future reference.

Of course, some of the information in said books may become outdated within a few years, due to the fact that such programs are often updated with new features every few years, but the procedure is pretty much the same.

Hi  I tired myself pulling some grass and other weeds.  Some of the songs played in the music class that are played now sound horrible.  You see guitar is the instrument played and songs like Rhythm Of The Rain are not rock songs.  Bringing my harmonica and using it where I can wherever I can.

Don't have much planned for this month. I'm going to see "Singing in the Rain" on the big screen on Friday, and then "The Maltese Falcon" on the 21st. It's kind of up in there from there. A few writing projects, surviving another lonely Valentine's...that's my month. A guy who lives down the street from me is acting like he has a crush on me, so we'll see how that goes too.

This includes all charts, not just of her home country, the United States. If you're a fan or just like some songs, please vote. I will be taking the top votes of each decade and creating a final poll to find the ultimate one. Sorry to put this here, but the polls are only 3 days long so I wanted you all to get a chance to vote.

I'll vote in them when I have a chance. During the 80s and 90s she had several great hits, it's gonna be hard for me to narrow it down. (Also, a while back I created a poll on all her hit songs of the 1990s (not necessarily #1s) in which you can vote on more than 2 that you like the best.)

So I got my eye glasses yesterday. I was having trouble seeing things from a distance, so I went and saw the eye doctor. They gave me my glasses the same day. I hadn't worn eye glasses since I was very young, so I knew what to expect. Funny thing is they are the same prescription that I had when I was younger too!

Had a great day today went to the cinema with Lee, back home now. So it's dinner with mom and the evening to myself. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead.

Saw the stage musical Cats last Thursday evening. It's a little dated, but still very energetic and clever. I saw it back in the early 90's and this production was just as good. I can't believe how the crowd behaviour has changed  though. Going to the theatre (decided to use Aussie spelling on the boards today) used to be a classy night out. We dress well, have dinner out and make a night of it.

The theatre must be struggling and need to put backsides on seats. They now allow patrons to purchase drinks and chips etc and bring them to their seats. I' m not certain why you would do this when the theatres have beautiful furnishings and the seats do not provide cup holders. It is not a movie theatre! Also, there is not much room between the seats so when patrons are virtually climbing over people to get to their designated seat, they are spilling their drinks. This really bugs me!

They got to the part in the show where Grizabella sings 'Memories'... the theatre was completely hushed ... And suddenly there was the sound of some idiot loudly rustling through their plastic bag full of chips and lollies (candy).

The theatre should not allow it out of respect for the performers. The public can do without their snacks for an hour at a time (there was an intermission). Also, I couldn't believe the number of men dressed in shorts and polo shirts. They could have been going to Sizzler! Make an effort guys ... your partners did!

Just another event dumbed down for the general public. ... And I'm not even a classy guy.  ;D

Yeah if I want some mustaches and a cigar some time for a parody.

I'm going to be getting one more costume item next week and then I think I'm going to video that parody I wrote.  I'm getting all these thoughts that I might get sewed, but have no fear and will be ready to point out they are quick to judge or whatever.  I've wondered if God might have raised me like this so I could stand up for myself if someone wants to sew me.

I uploaded my pics to photobucket. I used their editing tool to make them the same size then I copied the link provided me on the page (the one with the img brackets and the url) and posted them in the signature section of the settings I think it's look and layout.

Oh and it's really important you rename the img. Like it had to have your photobucket profile but instead of imgdsc1234567a (or whatever) I named the pic 1 and then 2 etc that's bc it takes a lot of characters otherwise and space is limited.

We have a half term holiday from school.

There is a list of jobs to be doing around the house (Dai even e-mailed it from work!)

We had a few days of great weather, cold and bright, so we've walked into town a couple of times, taking some stuff to the charity shops.

Today someone is coming round this morning to measure up for replacing three or four double glazing units.  they have got condensation in them but we just want to replace the sealed unit if possible not the whole window.  And then a trip to the bank to sort out savings accounts, close an account that has like a penny in it etc.  And we plan to go orienteering late morning if possible - though it is currently raining.

Tomorrow we are off to Cambridge for a university taster day for Elizabeth and a look at one or two museums for James and I.

My Mother-in-law passed away last Friday. She was 93 but had recently fallen and broken her hip. After the hip was replaced, she started a rapid decline (coupled with the onset of Alzheimer's).

It was a sad and confronting sight seeing her laying dead in a hospital bed. It was also my kids first experience with losing a relative... and it they took it hard.

Doesn't matter how prepared you think you are ... It still hits hard. The funeral is this Friday.

May you rest in peace Barbara.

it was spreading through the ground everywhere.  it was at the side of the house everywhere so it must have been pretty comfortable.  It shouldn't spread all over in our 9b hardiness with no shade now.  I still need to try and prune the thinner tall stuff, but there were things in the ground that will need to be sawed off or something.

And I just got back from there; the supervisor was glad to have me return to do more work for them. I will start there on Friday morning.

Found my bible that I've had since I was 17.

Today was kind of boring. I did nothing but clean and everyday chores. Tomorrow will be better!

Was it in good condition?

This morning I got a phonecall from the place where I did my internship last year... and the person in charge wants to offer me a part time position there! (And it's paid, too.) So I explained that I was available today, and in just a little while I will go over there and the person will show me the things that'll need to be done.

Great!

Hey, that's all right, no worries. ;) But it was kind of a volunteer experience anyways, since it was unpaid.  I still volunteer at the library, on whatever days/hours I'm available.

I could imagine.

My parents were going through the same experience two years ago after my maternal grandma had died; they had to make funeral and burial arrangements and things like that.

I hear ya... they are so draining... my mom and I decided not to have on for my dad because neither of us wanted to deal with that level of emotion. she was going to do it for me I was going to do it for her but when we talked and realized neither of us really wanted one... and he never really wanted one either we decided to remember in our own way... privately.  No one understood that but its what we wanted so they had to accept it.

((((HUGS)))) to you and your family.

Sometimes families don't like to make funeral arrangements. :(

Which is sad. For example, after my paternal grandmother died 3 1/2 years ago, my grandfather didn't want to make any arrangements for even a memorial; all that was done was a cremation. :\'( :(

At my work, our schedule is in a binder.

At the law firm where I was briefly employed a few months ago, I had a "work schedule" in a binder, but the only things in there were some visual aids, with no words to indicate what to do. And that's why I was often uncertain for most of the time I was there.

But that's in the past now, and I viewed it as a learning experience. (The same goes for any place I work at.)

I went to see this great play last night called Watching OJ.  It was directed by actor Keith Szarabajka and written by David McMillan.

It was about the very real very visceral reactions of a group of people (white & black) to the OJ verdict. It was very well done.. surprisingly funny, emotional and powerful.  I really enjoyed it...

Plus seeing an actor from Angel (Szarabajka) was a nice bonus for me!!!  ;)

Last night I bought some butterfly host plant seeds.  The plants might be a little closer to the ocean then I thought, but not quite on it so I might be able to get by if I maybe keep them in pots and water them maybe a little more often.

Once I thought I had done well on an exam I took, but it turned out I didn't. Other times, it was the other way around.
